nice build tho i would go with diff consoles

get rid of all ur sci consoles and stack field gen

also i would change engi consoles to inculde borg console and romulan console for for crits and power u may also want to use the temporal console from lobi store as it gives some nice crits.

i have simlar build only i use 3 con officers warpcore doff and engery reduce cool down to special attacks

I was going to recommend the same. You are flying a Bird of Prey, when your shields go down you are toast regardless how many armor consoles you stick on your ship. As you are obviously going for a Beam Overload 3 build the increase in critical chance from both the Borg and Romulan consoles will suit you better. Just keep one of those neutroniums and stack two field generators in your science slots.

To grab this thread again ...

I tested some configuration to find out my suited play style

First, I oriented myself on Thissler's configuration for PvP:

2x DHC, 1x DBB, 1xQTL (Full KHG)

Com. Tac.: TT1, CRF1, BO3, APO3
Lt. Com. Tac.: TT1, CRF1, THY3
Lt. Sci. : HE1, TB1
Lt. Eng: EPTW1, EPTS2

(With 3x DC Eng DOs, 2xBFI)

Result: Nice for PvP. Quite powerfull alpha strike due to 4 tac console. However, only medicore sustain dps. Average for PvE.

Currently I try an cannon only build:

2xDHC, 2xDC (2 piece MACO + KGH shield)

Com. Tac.: TT1, CRF1, APO1, CRF3
Lt. Com. Sci.: HE1, TTS2, <your favorite science power, currently FPB1>
Lt. Tac. : TT1, AtP1
Lt. Eng: EPTS1, Aux2SIF1

(With DO: 3x DC, 2xBFI)

Result: Not so breaking in PvP, good damage but no burst to kill fast. However, constant DPS feels good in PvE, escpacially Aux2SIF1 gives you much more survivability in PvE where Borg plasma dots burn your hull faster down than you can say "hazard emitters".

Another idea would be still full cannon:

Com. Tac.: TT1, CRF1, APO1, CRF3
Lt. Com. Sci.: HE1, TTS2, <your favorite science power, maybe FPB1>
Lt. Eng.: EPTS1, RSP1
Lt. Eng: EPTS1, Aux2SIF1

(With 3x Conn, 2xBFI)

Result: unkown, still farming for the 3 purple Conn DOs :-)



Miss one ensign unsiversal for the overkill BoP hrhr :-)

a little tip from another BoP pilot:

When flying any BoP except the B'rel always, always equip mask energy signature.

Why? Its your ghetto enhanced cloak.


Activate mask energy signature.. approach and do attack run...

on your exit your regular cloak will be available. Voila. No need to wait 20 seconds to recloak.

By the time you egress out of enemy range your mask energy sig. will be up again, decloak, hit mask energy and repeat. By the time you set up your next attack run your regular cloak will be ready to be used.

You do need to have some capt skills that improve mask energy sig. for it to work decently though.

You should be using the omega deflector for the added accuracy & the extra crit rate it generates rather than that imo. mask energy sig is available in ensign station

The OP should be putting his build on a raptor. Maybe a cruiser.

You don't need an Omega Deflector. Okay YOU may. From the way the other guy plays I know he doesn't. Acc is way more suited to a Raptor's play style.

If you don't want to look that's cool. If you don't understand why that shows how a bop doens't need acc or added crit from the Omega deflector, that's cool too. And that's to say doesen't need. I'm sure someone out there could construct some type of effective (blows **** up with regularity) build that does need it, I just can't imagine a more efficient way of doing things. With Tactical.

So acc is way more suited to random plink plink plink cannon use. Maybe some guys prefer to fly a BoP that way, I don't know why, but sure. I suppose if a person wanted to pretend they were in a Raptor that works. Role playing an insane KDF or something.

Mask energy sig is a good idea though. If I wasn't so tight on what I needed in Sci I would consider it. But since I already get KHG...... I don't.

That's what I actually use. PH and HE keep you out of things that would prevent you from using battle cloak. So. Gotta have em. And if THAT fails....I just activate KHG. See you can activate IN combat now so its sooper.

That's a recent change.

If you dont need the extra acc and have the KHG 3 piece set you still should have mask energy sig. A reduntant backup so to speak. Cloak is the BoP's lifeblood.

I use the omega deflector because the accuracy bonus is quite noticeable to me.
