I'm confused by people's disdain for that homepage Vulcan. I think she is a pretty reasonable representation of most players' female characters I see strutting around in the game.
Must be something in the water in the 25th century.

Of course I am not fully disagreeing with you, I am just pointing out there was a effort but they also maintained their society that very much the crux of how people behave, we are taught to think and act in certain ways that are the accepted norms by our society but society changes and so the attitude and behavior of people as the norms change, the Greek have very little in common with the classical antiquity of the Greek City nations despite as a ethnic had no real changes (unlike the rest of Europe) in term of society as a example.

Also the Ferengi had changes, women are now allowed to wear clothing and even run business ... things change and I am not talking about turning Romulans into Vulcans, no ... there was over 2 millennium of cultural differences but at the same time they cannot be the TOS-TNG-DS9 Star Empire, even if Sela comes back does not mean that Romulan Star Empire comes back ... thats over and its a new reality that requires adjustments.
I am not going to argue with your points, truth is there is some validity to what you are saying.

But I will say this. Most people are not going to agree with you. Perhaps you don't like the Old Romulan Star Empire, but many did. And it is THIS Romulan Faction that people want, not D'Tan's More "enlightened" Romulans.

D'Tan's ideas are also not new to the Romulans. They have been around since at least the TNG era. None, the less the RSE survived the destruction of its homeworld, and remained as a whole, much as it was. So I see no reason not to hold with it, just because Sela was captured/kidnapped/Rescued (I haven't played though all the romulan story, but was it ever established that Sela was with the iconians, or just the Tal Shiar?) by an Iconian vessel. Considering who Sela is, if she ever did return, I can totally see her reestablishing the Romulans right back where they were. After all, that is what gave her the most power.

Not mine.
Ask yourself, do you really want the game represented by someone who sets their boob slider to max?

Fair enough. But, as we know 'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.' And apparently, there is a need for larger polygons. Just my own anecdotal observations of most female characters I see.
However, it does seem to grasp for the low hanging fruit of the interwebs. And being a denizen of said internet, perhaps I'm just desensitized to a bit (ok, a lot) of cleavage. And it isn't as if Trek itself didn't set the precedent with its many busty, skin-tight clad ladies.

On a personal note, if I come to the site when I am at work, I do feel a bit ashamed when the page pops and quickly make my way to the forums.

I dont think we are getting D'tan but I dont think we are getting Sela either.

I think we are getting the Romulan Navy, there are many factions and there is potential to show both sides, that is in one end D'Tan and on the other Sela.

The old style is another KDF, they might not be happy but if Cryptic didnt make this Klingon Online they arent going to do Romulan Online ... yes some will complain because they want something that simply cannot be done because if Cryptic cannot even do unique content for 2 factions they arent going to do it for 3 factions.

Point is they arent going to be happy either way but the choice is KDF Mk. II with all the problems we seen in the last 3 years or something that is done in a way that allows missions to be accessed by all factions without ending up as the Undine Front.

Human? maybe not, but some sort of psychology is definately in order. Any being that thinks has a psycological make up. It doesn't matter if it's sentient sand... If it thinks it has some sort of psychology.

MMOs aren't charities. Corporations are supposed to make a profit. It's what they do.

Isn't that what he was saying?

PS: I want a playable Microbrain.

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.

It was established in TNG that Vulcans and Romulans were genetically dissimilar in a similar way to how an African American is genetically dissimilar to a Caucasian American.

On a basic DNA scan it would be next to impossible to tell them apart, however there are key differences especially medically. (The actual example was Beverly Crusher attempting to cure a Romulan using a medication that worked on Vulcans and failing).
