Okay, I killed all the True Way ships and all that, but there are NO ecape pods to be found. I searched high and low. All I found was a few anomalies. What am I doing wrong?

Did you talk to Indianapolis after defeating first wave of True Way? Only if you do this they will launch escape pods.

BTW, do not kill Lamat'ukan before you get the respective objective. Otherwise your mission progress will get stuck and you can do it again. The same applies to Commander Teleb in "Under the Cover of Night".

I have noticed that sometimes your battlegroup goes to the opposite direction of the battle (what a shameful display!) and ship will often blow up out of sight even without taking damage. Go to west of the planet that you spawn behind and keep searching there. It is where I found my coward battlegroup hiding.

Yeah, that was another thing. THe fleet escorted me to the fight but didn't assist. They also disappeared entirely when I respawned.

Also, there are NO other ships on the map. AT ALL. There is no OPS button, and nothing happens when I get close to the area were I killed the Cardassians. It's like the next spawn didn't happen.

I've also entered and exited the map and nothing changes.

Happenend to me several times (as I also liked the reward so redid the mission several times). The pods could usually be found to the left (as you appear) in open space. Maybe 10-20km out sometimes.

I dropped it. I've done this one as well (VA), but this didn't happen when I did it last. I just figure it's another lost mission. It's really not that hard, either, despite the fleet always abandining me. Sad.

Okay, I had to play this mission four times before I was able to get through this chunk. Turns out if you don't do everything in the right order, it won't let you finish.

1. When you get the ops button to hail the Indianapolis, do that BEFORE you beam up the escape pods, or it won't let you do it later.

2. Beam up the escape pods BEFORE you destroy all the enemy ships. If you destroy the ships first, it will let you beam up the escape pods, but you'll be left with an instruction to destroy the reinforcements, but there won't be any reinforcements to destroy and you'll be stuck.

The escape pods are tucked in with all the debris of the half destroyed moon. You won't get any indicator on the screen, so you just have to look for them, they're pretty small. If you look for the escape pods before going into battle, you won't get shot at, so you should have time to hunt around for them.

This missions obviously pretty badly designed, hope this helps anyone else who gets stuck.

my best advice is to stick close to the battlegroup during the battle, then you're right there when she blows

dont ok the indianapolis conversation after the battle.
minimise it
find the ship,
then do the convo to trigger the ships death
you should see the pods fly out of it
and if lucky, you may even by able to beam them all up before zapping the next lot of bugs.
if not, the pods stay within 5km of the blast anyway
as it turns out, an intrepid would lose a fight with a connie.
and thats canon.
! the power of plot compels you.
