-The simple idea behind Playing-to-improve is approaching PvP as a constant learning experience. This means removing obvious crutches, and resisting the temptation of "I-Win" buttons. For example, if a skill is mistakenly changed into a one-shot ability, buck the trend and don't use it.

Maybe you should read a Guide about pvp I found on the Forum Written by a guy who doenst take his own advise. . . You have been using a 1 Shot Kill ability Since SEASON 1 and think that EVERYone else should be able to counter it!!

Come on Bro Man up and Drop your DEM Doffs than !!!!

And if your going to start a pvp GUIDE make sure to include ALL the HACKS and ALL the bugs and iregularities you have found while playing this game since Season 1!!! This also ensures that everyone has a Fair playing field and you might find that ppl will be able to compete with you !!!! Maybe you might even lose/get killed!!!!!!
Dont keep BUGS you find within your fleet because you simply have no class.. . .
I have even invited Sad Pandas into my fleet we are all Friends
I just dont like the way YOU play the game

Have fun on the 6th of April One Trick Pony!!

Sigh....

Ok then, bit of a back story for everyone then. We ran into a premade team in the queues and beat them. We queued again, ran into them again, and they all warped out. They claimed that double tapping beam overload was an "exploit", and even when we explained to them that it was a long standing gameplay element and told them how they could replicate it they didn't relent.

Bear witness everyone, for this is what you do not do if you ever want to be a successful premade.

I've used double tap beam overloads in the past and have known about it since around season 1. I don't currently use it as I fly a sci/sci with only torpedoes.

We can counter it. If lower tier fleets follow the guide and embark on the process of constant, iterative improvement then of course they can do the same.

I don't think so. There's no reason to drop something that isn't broken. We'd be more than willing to drop them for a private match with you though to demonstrate how very little it will change anything between opponents of vastly different skill levels. Let me know if you're interested.

We go out of our way to report bugs, not use them. You also misunderstand the intent of this guide -- it's not to teach people the optimum way to set up for the current meta-game. If I were to make such a guide it would most likely be obsolete the moment the Romulan expansion comes out. Rather, the intent of this guide is to impart the appropriate attitude that's needed for rapid advancement and high level play -- an attitude that you are most clearly lacking.

I've actually been incredibly patient with this group, but the result is the same

I believe this is the same person I ran into the other day.

He complained about lockbox ships or P2W or whatever and then put me on ignore.

Guess that was not an isolated incident hm?

Bookmarked. Great read, hurleybird!

Nice work Jorf! Our fleet's trying to get better at PvP, and I shall be pointing everyone who PvPs within our fleet (who's not seen it already) to this guide as a way to look at the game.

We honestly try to explain and help this specific group of complainers, but they simply refuse to see all the aspects of what has been happening to them, and how to prevent them.

They run escorts without any form of resistance or buff even, as a 'spam clearer' and 'Target Subsystem' controller or whatever and they are surprised they are getting one shotted, by double taps, full dhc, or whatever.

It doesnt matter and it converts into complaining and exploiting.

I'm always open for discussion and help, but people need the right attitude for that unfortunately, big wide PvP community problem.

Unfortunately, I think being terrible in a premade is in my state.
