This happened to me, but I think it's lag.

Also, I got the wrong officer. I chose Science and got the one that gives you the Tachyon beam (engineering?)

I had this happen to me as well, I was freaking for a bit, but it worked itself out. That seems to be the only bug I have seen as of yet, but I just started playing today. Overall I think it's pretty good so far.

Yes also had this problem. I saw it around 2/3rds of the time I was switching between space and ground combat. It would normally fix itself after about 30sec to a minute.
