When I open my launcher, it just idles out or doesn't load properly. I can't even get in to patch the game.

# 112 Crashes during Loading
11-16-2011, 08:27 AM
I patch my game, click "Engage" and it goes to the loading screen. It stays there for ~2 minutes, then crashes and I get an error message.

"Fatal Error: Unable to initialize on-demand patching and connect to Patch Server. The connection was idle for too long."

# 114 Cannot Login!

I think i have the same problem as you guys.
I enter my login information,
than the game launcher starts loading (with the cryptic logo in the background)
THAN it loads for just a little while,
AND FINALLY; BAM!
Crash to desktop with the following message:
''star trek online gameclient.exe has stopped working''
I tried some fixes on my own to no avail,
and I do beleive that this is a server-side problem.
Pls get rid of this problem

I had this problem (and solved it) twice. First time was by reinstalling the game; second time was by setting my firewall to allow gameclient.exe and launcher.exe. This must be done on the administrator account.

Just a quick note, if you are getting crashes in the launcher at any point, if you have TeamViewer, try closing that. I was getting crashes (13345035 error code, in case a dev wants to see what it was...). It's all fixed now though.

I had this problem just today. It showed up after I installed WinRAR. WinRar installed: Babylon and Sendori to my computer I uninstalled all three and now STO works fine. If you get this problem look for any program that hijacks your browser or installs an unwanted task bar. I hope this helps out.
