Even though the Dev teams have been doing their best to help give the Fleet Starbases and Embassy some beautification, not that there is nothing wrong with it and I do thank them for the time they put in to make it happen. There are still some that don't appreciate or can agree with what has been made available for the Fleets to build at their own choosing, but I digress. The point of this thread, is to give people their chance to detail their thoughts on what they'd like to see as Limited of Time Special Project(s) and show us how it is done.

Here's something that I made up earlier.

Title: "A Place to Call Home I"
Type: Functional
Location: Starbase Exterior
Bonuses: 4-5% Bonus towards Fleet Mark Acquistion
Description: With the war between major powers continuing and resources are becoming limited, securing trade routes, supply lines and star systems are a priority. Your Fleet's starbase has moved into orbit of a planet that is essential to your faction. After successful completion of this project, the Fleet can choose between the following classes in which their starbase can orbit (free from additional costs):
Class H Desert
Class K Adaptable
Class L Marginal
Class M Terrestrial (Minshara Class)
Clss O Pelagic
Class P Glaciated

LOVE it me and my fleet would happily sink dil into that project, my fleet has been bringing the star base exterior ip quite often because its bland and uninteresting and most of all useless lol some additional background features would be very welcome.

It would actually provide more than a cosmetic bonus so apparently the Devs will never go for it. :p

How about this, though?

Title: Staging Point
Type: Asthetic
Location: Starbase Exterior
Description: A battle fleet of your faction has decided to use your starbase as a staging point for raids into nearby enemy territory. An Odyssey class cruiser, escorted by a couple of Prometheus-class escorts and some Nebula class science vessels now drift in space near your starbase, and a pair of Defiant-class starships and an Excelsior-class cruiser patrol the perimeter.

(adding to the original ship traffic.)

Title: A Place to Call Home II
Type: Functional
Location: Starbase Exterior
Bonuses: Creates a colony on the planet; Access to personal quarters. Personal Quarters can be customised with Fleet Credits in the Reputation Menu. Colony can be upgraded at the Starbase. Gives access to Uncommon, Rare and Very Rare Bridge Officers from your faction. Access to Fleet Mark and Fleet Credit Missions, Commodity Traders and Exchange. 4-5% Bonus to Fleet Credit and EC acquisition.
Description: Refugees have arrived at your starbase and have established a colony on your planet. Help the Colony to become self sufficient. The class of planet will effect the design of the colony. Classes P, K woulld be in pressurised domes that allowed players a glimpse of the planet's natural environment.

Description: Replaces the tactical deck of the starbase with the under used Utopia Planetia interior model instead, this is far more attractive in my viewpoint and well worthy of spending a few dilithium on.

This is more than just an aesthetic upgrade, though. The devs have pointed out that it isn't trivial at all to accomplish.

Title: "The Line Must Be Drawn Here"
Type: Functional
Location: Embassy Interior
Bonuses: Displays the estimated time of Hostile Encounters in Romulan Space and on New Romulus along with the type of enemy the player will be facing.
Description: With an upgrade to the New Romulus sensor grid, allied forces can now track the movement of hostile troops in Romulan Space. New displays are installed and become available inside the Embassy on the Ops level and mounted on the walls, events that are of interest can be flagged and an alert will notify the player of the event prior to its start.
