I also think with the somewhat recent release of the Andorian Escort we could get a better NX bundle with interior, weapons, shuttles, ect. A Mirror NX as well as a NX refit. to me it seems like a good time to give the ENT era some love, if not before the Expansion, maybe shortly after. Try to keep the JJ and ENT flames to a minimum, I simply want to know if you want to see the same things in-game i do and if not what would you like to see?
Problem with the new RR ship scheme is that all ships are of the type Warbird. Log on to Tribble and go to the Romulan sector and fight in an incursion. You will see T'Liss Light Warbirds. These are BoPs not Warbirds. A Warbird is a type of heavy cruiser. It has classes like D'Deridex or Valdore. Just like the Klingons have battle cruisers, a type of heavy cruiser, for which there are various classifications: K'Tinga, Vorcha and Negh'var.

Not to be overly nitpicky (I'm adamantly against anything JJ crossing back over, let me be clear on that), but wasn't Spock's ship built in the Prime?

You realize Braga is working actively to make Season 5 of Enterprise on Netflix. Which was the planned debut of the NX-Refit. And if that happens, then it makes it fair game for Cryptic to add to STO.
What? they're gonna add the unpremiered Season 5? WOO ^_^

and yes both the Narada and the Jellyfish are Prime, the Narada was a mining vessel heavily modified with borg technology (http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Narada) and the Jellyfish was commissioned by the Vulcan Science academy (http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Jellyfish_%28ship%29) to protect Romulus and Remus from the Supernova, it was already too late though

Technically speaking both were.

They are trying to. Still no word from CBS.

Yes, but they were also unique ships. While the Kelvin, like I said previously, is just a modified Saladin. And Cryptic can easily circumvent Parmamount and use the TOS Saucer for the Saladin and add in an Engineering hull on top and Paramount shouldn't say a thing since they are using the TOS hull and not the one from the movie.
NO to ARC!

Season 9.5 = STO's NGE is Here! Welcome to the Grind!
Expansion 2 - Delta Rising: Welcome to Tier 6, where everything is now obsolete. Have fun with the new Crafting!

Damn I hope they do, and I really hope paramount pulls its finger out its ass and lets Cryptic add their ships to STO, I think it would help bring in new players

Awesome, I didn't know that! Do you have a link where I can read about it?

I would love to see the Jellyfish and a mirror NX class, but I kind of doubt we'll get either.

Purely for your amusement, and (perhaps by the off chance) your education, let me lay it all out for you:

Crypric has a contract with CBS but not Paramount, therefore nothing from Trek 09, or the upcoming new movie, will feature in STO. And I don't expect that to change since the cost of obtaining consent from CBS and obtaining a contract from Paramount would very likely cost an absolute fortune and would likely have little return.
Albeit not a direct quote from any mod (which would have ended this argument WAYYYY before season 1), as far as legal rights, copyright laws, and licencing are as far concerned, the statement above me pretty much sums up what Cryptic can make, and what Cryptic can not make.

From Wikipedia:

At Star Trek's creation, Norway Productions, Roddenberry's production company, shared ownership with Desilu Productions and, after Gulf+Western acquired Desilu in 1967, with Paramount Pictures, the conglomerate's film studio. Paramount did not want to own the unsuccessful show; net profit was to be shared between Norway, Desilu/Paramount, Shatner, and NBC but Star Trek lost money, and the studio did not expect to syndicate it. In 1970 Paramount offered to sell all rights to Star Trek to Roddenberry, but he could not afford the $150,000 ($898,000 today) price
In 1989 Gulf+Western renamed itself as Paramount Communications, and in 1994 merged with Viacom. In 2005 Viacom divided into CBS Corporation, whose CBS Television Studios subsidiary retained the Star Trek brand, and Viacom, whose Paramount Pictures subsidiary retained the Star Trek film library and rights to make additional films, along with video distribution rights to the TV series on behalf of CBS. - Wikipedia

Nifty eh? To really condense it for you, just skip to the bottom half. Now, going back to the first quote:

"No - for the same reason as the JJ-prise/2009 Enterprise won't be in the game. Paramount owns the movies, CBS owns the rights to the TV series.

Couldn't have said it better myself. My argument is locktight, good sir. What's yours?
