So, I have the Fed mission to turn in some Dil, Romulan Marks, Expertise, DOffs, Warp Coils, and a Hangar - Peregrine Fighters.

Now, I have the damn hangar, but it will not turn it in. The contribute button is greyed out.

So, what the hell do I actually need, where do I get it, and why isn't this explained worth crap in the game?

wrong peregrine

gotta go to ESD and requisition the white-level peregrines from the shipyard

all contributions are now white-level...ALL of them; this includes fleet contributions

to be precise, all the higher-rarity requirements for all contributions were dropped to common when season seven was released....although patch notes will only say that this is for the fleet starbases and embassies, this also extended to the personal reputations for the few instances you need to contribute items that have higher rarities available

Okay, thank you! I was extremely confused because the mouseover says 'blue rare'. I can complete this now, my blood pressure has dropped measurably, and my headache is gone haha

There are no white level peregrine fighters. Shipyards sell only blue quality hangar pets, and the reputation project requires blue quality. I should know, I'm currently working on getting the ultra rare advanced scorpion fighters from the reputation system.

To the OP, did you try to contribute the peregrine fighters that came with your Heavy Escort Carrier from the C-store? I recently purchased it myself and found the pets that come with it, although exactly the same as what you can buy in a shipyard for EC, don't qualify. Probably because you could discharge the ship and reclaim it for free getting another hangar pet and do it repeatedly until you have enough for the reputation project, so they can't be used like that. The reason why I ask is because the item in your screenshot has no EC value listed in the tooltip.

The peregrines that come with HEC and the peregrines from the EC store on sol station are identical, except the text is not updated on the EC requisition hangar, and it is on the HEC included hangar. They are literelly identical other than that.

The EC requisition blue level hangar works to contribute, the one included with the HEC does not.

I would like to suggest making the EC requisitioned hangar from Sol station green, or make the HEC included hangar identical to the one from EC requisition.

Yeah that's pretty much what I said.

It wouldn't be a good idea because all hangar pets at shipyards that cost energy credits are blue quality. The Romulan reputation project to obtain the scorpion fighters says it requires rare blue quality peregrine fighters. If you changed them to green quality you wouldn't be able to complete the project, or have to go all the way across the galaxy to another shipyard that has the blue quality version. (Hint: you can put your mouse over each item icon that is required in the rep project and a tooltip will pop up with more info, and also for items that you receive from the project.)
