Each time I was teamed, 2 of the 3 times, I waited until my team mates finished the mission.
The 3rd time I aborted the mission, to warp to sector space (somehow, even as a burnt out hulk of a ship I was able to), then I get the respawn message again, then I would respawn all the way back to SOL, then I had to travel all the way back to my group's instance.
