So I mean any thing could be done for the game(STO).
My problem is why devote the resources to creating a starbase for something that is part of an existing faction, and make some people happy. When you can devote the same resources to making a Romulan Starbase, and make a potentially larger portion of the playerbase happy.

This goes back to when someone suggested making a third faction "Neutral' so they could get playable Rommies (before LoR was announced). You aren't cutting your required resources, you are just deverting them, and instead of to something that most people would want, it is to essentially something that is more of a compromise, when you can just get what you really wanted.

Meh. Vulcans are inseperable from the Federation, there's no reason to split them out. Actually the system they are scratching together now would work very well for Vulcans and most of the other secondary factions like Andorians and Orions, who are already integrated into one of the larger factions. The problem with the new system is that it doesnt work for Romulans, who are a faction unto themselves and should be treated accordingly.

I prefer this Idea:

Playable Vulcans for the Romulan Faction.
Is simple: Some vulcans that share the same goal and aspiration as Spock to seek peace with the romulan people, they leave starfleet and the federation to join the republic and the New Romulans.

There are many races ideas that can work pretty well, for example, the ferasans of the KDF are just reskinned Caitians with fangs added, they'll odviously will add a felinoid species for the rommies. Sulibans and Hirogen are pretty much post-launch, Joined trill without doubt will be in.

There are a Many species in the star trek canon, but also star trek is caracterized by "discover strange new worlds and new civilizations" is also probable to see futures cryptic-made species like deferis, however we can create these with the alien creator.

You do make a good point there, but at the near the end of STE(Star Trek:Enterprise). Starfleet was ready to run things them self, with out the help the Vulcans. To me, Cryptic is trying to fix a mess with the Romulan lore the way it is(because of the 2009 movie). And we don't know the full out come of LoR just yet.

It would have been easier to me, if Cryptic just ignored the 2009 movie stuff & made the Romulan faction the way it was just after Star Trek: Nemesis(& skipped the 2009 movie).

Genetics aren't everything. There is a huge difference in culture and the way they interact with other groups. Romulans ragequit Vulcan and then went out and formed a whole empire that could come back and swallow Vulcan whole in a small bite.

And don't forget about the
Mintakans
. From TNG: Who Watches the Watches. And that timeline was 2366, so from that timeline & the game's timeline(2409). That's about 43 years, so maybe the Mintakans could have high enough level of technology to maybe join the RR. You know what, they(the Mintakans) maybe a better choice of a playable race for the RR than the Vulcans.

Ok, how about the Mintakans, they look more like a Romulan than a Vulcan(In forehead way).
