Problem:

I downloaded the 7.8 gb file from FilePlanet, and ran the installer. The installation went fine, but when I try to run the game, as soon as it gets to the Launcher login section, it crashes with no error. I'm not sure why it does this, but any insight would be nice. My specs are below. Thanks for the help.

That post has instructions for how to verify your client data files to make sure they're not truncated or corrupted. That will give you an idea of if you need to download them again or not.

The good news is that you can manually delete files of the installation and the launcher will grab new copies to download.

I would wait for the patch to go through and see if it fixes it. A lot of us seem to be having the same problem. If this patch does fix it you'll save yourself a lot of time. If it doesn't than i'm afraid i'll be in the same boat you are

Well that's the thing. The launcher crashes. It doesn't even get to the patcher. As soon as the launcher starts up, it shows the launcher login screen then crashes.

You should be able to patch now. If the launcher crashes on you, verify your files or reinstall.

The patching is all automatic right now. But by verify files, yes. If you have it completely installed, try it and see if they match. If not, delete them and let the launcher do its automatic patch to replace them.

Except for the fact that I can't open the launcher. I've been trying to convey this to you! As soon as the launcher opens, it crashes.

Then I'd completely wipe it and re-download everything. Sounds like badly corrupted files.
