A nice way of looking at this I suppose, the more down time there is, the more they're listening to us

All together now, can we say, "Amateur Hour!" ?

Seriously, servers aren't on monitoring and notification, and someone's not on call?

Day after day, while I'm not familiar with Cryptic's competencies and conduct, this last week has left me with little confidence regarding this MMO and my time desire to commit time to developing avatars in their domain. At this point, I'd wish I could cancel my preorder.

I do have a question at this point. I realize the server is down, but I am also getting a message at the bottom of the login screen saying "Account error, please contact Billing support". Not sure what this means as at this point we are not being billed, and I haven't chosen a payment setup yet. ... ??

I find this HIGHLY unlikely. Our servers at work will send out emails which we get on our blackberrys if something is wrong. Even the environmental monitoring system will send out emails if the temp/humidity raises or drops below a specified threshold.

I find it hard to believe that these guys don't know it's down. I'd be more willing to bet that they're working quickly to fix the problem and I'd much rather them do that than have to stop to take time and sit down and type up a forum post saying the server is down. Obviously it's down. I don't need a dev to tell me that.

I'm pretty sure the bugs weren't responsible for this. We broke the server ourselves.
