MK's mating habits

The Dread just doesn't really work. I've never seen one in ANY PVP that made me stop and think "Hmm, I should probably stay away for that dude" It's always the first to be picked on. - They're either WAY too tanky to bother trying to kill, as they won't heal their team and thus won't be missed. Or, are stuffed with C Store/Crossfaction consoles to give the impression they are "hard" to kill, when infact are just tedious. Seeing as you should only have been able to own one by recruiting X amount of people to the game, be happy you have one at all!

You didn't notice the Klinks going pop last night in Kerrat then it seems. You can by the Dread off the Zen store, it's not only a referral item. In any case that is what this thread is about, to make it work. We want our Dread

Most of these recommendations are OP.

I agree whole heartedly the Lance needs an accuracy fix.

It does need a lt cmdr tac slot like the fleet sovereign.

If the lance accuracy was fixed the majority of the moaning and groaning would go away.

I fly the dreadnought on one of my tacs. I understand it's limitations. Fly within its means. DPS and lance when the time is right, support heal and tank when necessary.

It's funny to see the rage when you kill someone with the lance. Hardly anyone expects it but seriously, your flying infront of the dreadnought. You know you're taking a chance by doing so.

I agree that the Galaxy line needs desperately a makeover.
For your stats and based on the fact that we are talking about a battle cruiser, fleet variant the stats should be closer to these:
Hull: 41K
Shield mod.: 1.1
Lt.Com. Tac
Lt. Tac.
Com. En.
En. Eng.
Un. Lt.
Bonus power: 10 to weapons and 10 to Eng.
Turn rate: 8
For the console layout: 4 Eng, 2 Sci and 4 tac.

Cloak should remain as it is, or the equivalent of a Klingon Battlecruiser cloak. (Meaning in order to engage again the cloak you should be out of Red Alert)

As for the Lance raise the acc, lower the cooldown, but also lower the damage.

With my Klingon Eng char I fly a Tor'Kaht and I have to say that it is pretty good with a DHC layout(2xRCS purples)
Fed Sci: Tethys U.S.S. Chronos Aionios, U.S.S. Denomon Gnosis {Fleet: HSF}
KDF Eng: Boreas I.K.S. Demonon Nemesis {Fleet: HoS}
Rom Sci: Crius I.R.W. Noctem Aeternus {Fleet: LoS}
Fed Tac: Kronos U.S.S. Xibalba, I.S.S. Theogonia{Fleet: HSF}

I really don't understand why we Fed Tac Captains have to be forced fighting with an Escort to do a decent dps!
Why are our Cruisers condemned to a support role only, healing and tanking?
And instead the evul Klinguns have Battlecruisers very powerful!
It's all very frustrating...
This is not Star Trek but Escort Trek...or even worse Klingun Trek...
At least having an improved Dread can alleviate the suffering...damn...I bought that ship and it served me so well last year (I mean 2011), of course mainly in PvE, but now she is completely outdated for pugging!
K D F - Killing Disadvantaged Feds
K D F - The evul way to play Sto

I salute Adm. Marcus, a real Starfleet hero! Thanks to his courage we Tac Feds now have an awesome Cruiser, the USS Avenger!

Personally, I like the idea of doing the following to the Gal-X:

Change the Phaser Lance into an actual equipable unique weapon effected by Beam Overload Only. Make it a Rare Phaser Dual Beam Bank with [DMG][CrtD] And the usual 45 Degree fireing arc, but increased damage even for a DBB.

When Beam Overloaded, it would do the Phaser Lance effect, but put the beam it's self on a longer cool down.

If Saucer Seperated, Overload becomes an AOE with a Range of 4km and Cone of 60 Degrees.

Change the Seating as follows:
Change Cmd Engi to Cmd Tac
Change Lt Tac to Lt Engi
This would make the seating:
Cmd Tac
LtC Engi
Lt Engi
Lt Sci

It would still be a balanced seating because of the god awful turn rate of the Gal-X
The Consoles could also stay the same until the Fleet version, which could then add +1 Tac Console Making the consoles:

4 Engi
2 Sci
3 Tac

They could even add a 3 Piece set bonus for Galaxy-X Captains flying with a Cloaking Console, the Phaser lance Beam Bank, And the Saucer Seperation consoles:

2 Piece Bonus:
+5 Energy Weapon Critical skill
Phaser lance cool down reduced by half (from 3 minutes to 1 minute 30 sec)

3 Piece Bonus:
+15 Stealth skill
Cloak becomes Battle Cloak, Or if this is to powerful, Increases Phaser Lance Shots to 3 (normally it's 2 shots)

Make the three piece set power a choice. Battle cloak like effect or rapid fire spinal lance.

Question. As a set effect would the spinal lance 90 second CD be effect by A2B?
He who laughs last thinks slowest.

No. Aux to bat should only effect Bridge officer powers. When it does effect console powers it's a bug. (I've reported it a few times when the Chimera first came out and after a patch re-broke the Chimera's Consoles)
