# 1 "cryptic-joystick" process?
04-08-2013, 03:04 AM
I've noticed that every time I play LoR Tribble content there's a process running in the background named "cryptic-joystick". No idea what it does, but I'm certain it's only Tribble related.

What's more, the process does not end upon closing the game, and when I try to turn off the system the process won't close by itself and I have to force it to do so. Kind of annoying.

I'm using Win XP Home, which I mention considering other recent OS realted Tribble issues.

I also found someone at NW forums has the same issue - http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/sho...tick-app-hangs

Sounds like someone planted a kind of fun stick in the game...

I wonder if it something to do with the advanced command line we XP users had to enter to prevent the UI from locking us out last build.

Maybe its there to allow you to activate the Manual steering column?

if this process is due to some sort of xbox-like controller support, maybe there is a way to cause the .exe not to run unless the player selects the option to use such a device.
