# 1 How much time in STO?
04-08-2013, 01:00 PM
I realize as I cruise around STO that many of you spend more time than I do playing this game. Just how much though?

Post how much you play, and don't be ridiculous. Also, don't post how much money you spend on the game either.

I will play in the morning between a half hour to an hour before I go to work (yes) then a couple of evenings a week when my wife (yes) leaves for girl's nights out. This probably nets me 5 - 6 hours, so I'm maybe playing 10 - 12 hours a week.

I figured on about 30 to 35 hours this weekend alone. I sign on when I get up to let the dogs out in the morning and play until I have to get ready for work. I play not quite from the moment I get home, but pretty darn close, until bedtime. I am a little pathetic I suppose, but, I am a 60's child and grew up watching Star Trek just waiting for the day when I could join Star Fleet. This is the closest thing we will have in my lifetime so I am playing it for all it's worth.

YAY, I'm not alone. I have been disabled for 3 1/2 years due to cardiac issues. Since I cannot work, I spend my time on STO.

I'm generally on STO 2-4 hours per day, then I move on to one of the other games I play. In the winter months I probably spend 8 hours per day on 3-4 different games. In the summer closer to 4 or 5 hours per day - outside activities and family use up more time; especially when the kids are out of school.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

I used to play about 2-4 hours a day, but now that I have school and a hopeful job, I haven't been able to play videogames in over a month. (I did create a character in TERA yesterday, but I didn't do much other than steal peoples stuff)

Weekdays I spend about 2 hours in the evenings.Weekends I spend about 4 to 8 hours a day.I figure I spend about 26-30 hours a week in STO. However, now that it's springtime where I live, and summer is on the way, It will drop to about half.I'm far less of a shut in when it's warm out.

Yeah, I have a hobby that takes up most of my evenings in the summer. That takes priority first. Plus, here is CA, I can still do those things even in the winter. Gotta love semi-nice winters.
