# 1 Will this laptop run STO?
01-14-2010, 01:07 PM
So my macbook with a Windows XP simulator can't run STO cause of its lame video card.

I'm looking at Craigslist for some used laptops. Will this work? And how well or not well?

Dell Latitude D531 laptop

AMD Turion X64 2gHz processor
2 GB memory
ATI Radeon Xpress 1270 video card

Barely. the CPU & memory are fine, but the video card isn't really a card - it's integrated into the chipset, so it'll be a little slow.

As is mine yet my supposedly poor chipset runs 90% of games on max spec including STO lol. but yea the chipset on your bored is very poor not to mention running an emulated windows xp is not as eficent as the real thing and that yout also running mac os in the back ground the chances of it working evan at low specs is like 3 outta 10.
