# 1 Last Ditch Effort (tac trait)

while I generally like the fact you can use it below 50% hull, the +10 bonus to resistances is a little underwhelming.

So, in effort to improve this trait, I propose that activation of GDF also resets your cooldown on Ramming Speed. For obvious reasons.

I would rather just have it as it was always was, without a hull damage restriction.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

Being able to use GDF as part of an Alpha strike while at 100% health has always gone against the concept behind the power.

Yeah, we tac captains will lose the bonus to Alpha strikes, but we'll still have the unique captain buffs we need to generate more DPS by several orders of magnitude then any Sci or Eng captain. To complain about the changes to GDF seems a bit petty.

I don't see why complaining about a nerf is petty.

GDF will be less useful then Nadeon inversion... I'll just remove it from taking up ability slot space, honestly.

When tac captains complain about a nerf that leaves them able to perform alpha strikes that are "only" 300% more then other captains can, then yeah it sounds petty.

Please, do not pollute my thread, else the original idea get's lost in the spam. The 50% hull requirement is not likely to go away anyway.

Isn't the cool down on Ramming speed irrelevant when it does so little kinetic damage? That's like wanting to reduce the cool down on the abandon ship.

Little ? I guess you never killed someone with it in PvP The point is, that when you "are going down fighting" it would be natural in "last ditch effort" to take your enemy with you.

You do not understand the feeling when you know it's either him or you, you turn your galaxy (a feat on its own btw) towards your target, charge up GDF + brace for impact, only to realize your ramming speed is on cooldown !

Is it only 10% total now?

Tactical:
  • Space - Last Ditch Effort:
    • While Go Down Fighting is active, you gain 10% Damage Resistance to all damage types when you attack a target, stacking up to 3 times.

Can anyone confirm if this is straight 10% resist or if this is +10 resist bonus?

i.e.

A) 3x Stacks = +30 resist bonus, or basically 1 and 1/2 MK XII VR Neutronium Armor console.

vs.

B) I have 40% Res to all, activate go down fighting and get 3 x Stacks, Res is now 70%.
