I was in ker'rat and used it, my resistances went from 30% to 40%. But I admit, I went to shower and got this idea with ramming speed, and didn't particulary check the numbers for longer period of time. I saw no stacks however.

Edit: checked now, and it does only one stack, even the tooltip states its just 1 stack. Seems like either the trait description is wrong, or the actual ability works wrong (and has wrong tooltip).

Seems like this case, something like 10-15% actual dmg reduction. Pretty small number, if you are already high on resist bonus.

Right so basically:

GDF is locked to 4 minute cooldown.

GDF is locked to 50% hull or less.



And you get about 1 armor consoles worth of resistance from the trait?

What is that realistically supposed to help against in a game where PvE is either farts and tickles or outright mega torp one shots or a PvP environment where GDF is SNBd off in seconds or a PvP metagame that has moved into ultra spike?

But my point was not to ponder about numbers, but to reset the cooldown of ramming speed upon activation of GDF

At least that would give the power some usage.

Right now this new GDF seems like an engineering ability with a tiny damage buff.

Either the "tickles" part where you'll never reach below 50% health, or the one hit mega torp that will either force you to flee and heal, or will just kill you outright before you get anything out of it.

Can we have Nadeon Inversion please instead of GDF ? Or even photonic fleet?
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

Well, you might often only get it for 15s anyway since you'll either be dead or SNBd.



Really this is why they locked GDF to 50% hull or less?


If it is a problematic captain power than can we have something a bit less situational?

MW and Spam Fleet are about to go into CD overdrive, and GDF has gone in the opposite direction.

I suggest removing gdf from tactical powers ...if possible removing all tactical powers and by default all boff powers should be on spacebar ,that way everyone will know what to use and when to use .

hire some pve heroes to b***c all day about MW or Photonic Fleet and maybe you will see them nerfed/removed ,thou Im pretty sure you will see few more carriers ,another 20000000 types of pets and other things and ways to turn pvp in pve because we all know tacs in escorts are op ...ask the gate in ISE.Till then all tactical powers will be slowly removed or placed on the spacebar .

they plan to make hull tanking important ..... yes on a ship with less than 50% hull lol
