I am having the same problem right now. After logging back in after the "flying person in space" bug and getting back to the mission location, I have been on this loading screen for about 5 minutes.

I hate to say this Inverse, but Good glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem. My All three of the characters I've made have gotten stuck at that point. I even deleted the first two I made, just in case it was associated with one of them only. it wasn't.>.<

My problem is the screen "retrieving list of maps", it takes about 5 - 7 minutes and back to the login screen with the message that the server took too long to respond. When I got to this pass it, once I managed to play a game, oh when I try to teleport to the ship, during the tutorial yet another load, then I disconnected and could not place it. Simply do not pass the screen of "retrieving list of maps". Then I ask, how can I sign a game if I do not know if I can play? If the beta period ends without this is resolved, I will not sign, and the $ 60 I paid in the deluxe version on Steam goes to waste ...

I am having this problem too if i logout and back in it loads up faster

This seams to effect me whenever I go or do something I have never done before (go to my Bridge, go to a new mission, etc)

Its horrible with the times upwards to 15 min... sometimes never making it and kicking me out instead.

*goes back to waiting* why do you think I'm in the forums and not playing? lol

Second night in a row I can not play. Last night started to build my character and the server went down. Then I got stuck on loading map screen for 10 minutes.

I also have had this issue, i don't know what cause's this problem, but i have seen it happen with just me and everyone loads fine, and then i have seen it where i load fine, and someone else in group loads slow, it only really appears when the server has been up for long time it seems.. no idea the cause but i do know my hardware or router is not the issue..

bump, same issue here, loading times are a real problem.

I can't load most the time and when I can I am unable stay connected for very long.

For the first 2 nights of OB, load times between screens were ok'ish, ut lag was an issue and so was spawning maps, the 2nd days fix of map spawning was sorted with a fix and map loading was still ok'ish, but lag was still an issue. Last nights fix got rid of my lag, but my loadup times between missions have gone from like 10-20 seconds to about on average 3-5 minutes.
