# 1 Spock or Data

What would Star Trek be without its quirky characters? But the most memorable have been the two of the Original Series and the Next Generation.
The two, although very similar, have different areas of focus. Spock tries his best to contain his emotions, which can be difficult because of his human half. Data is the opposite. He endeavors to be more human and learn emotion and humor. So I'm curious as to what other peoples' opinions are.

Yup Data all the way, beyond being more intelligent then Spock he could beat the puny Vulcan to a pulp one handed.

I would love it if Spiner came to STO. He is an entertaining actor.

Oh? That's why Spock could break the last cipher that Data could not? (Unification, Part 2)

Anyway there's nothing to argue about. Both characters were created as vehicles to explore aspects of our humanity. Data is just TNG's version of Spock.

Spock!

"Off Button"

That is all.
If your post is anything like, "I have a sandwich so you can't be starving" it's time to rethink posting.

This continued throughout all of the subsequent series and films. DS9 had Odo, Voy had... a few people actually, Ent had T'Pol.

Nah, T'pol was just eye candy. Phlox was the character study.

I still want bare feet.... on ALL costumes.
