im pretty sure that all of those skills werent nerfed from people complaining about doing too much damage to borg.
Shields gens ? Those same consoles that have their stats because of a typo ? Geko himself said it in the last podcast. SHIELD CONSOLES HAVE THEIR NUMBERS ONLY BECAUSE OF TYPO. But he is afraid of likes you, that if he would balance/change/adjust/nerf something, people like you would flip out.

Ugh oh, you are aware that must "too dps" stuff is nerfed because it trivializes already trivial PVE content and people farm it easily ? Cryptic nerfs stuff so people do not abuse stuff to get quick dilithium/marks/whatever. Get your facts straight. Tricobalts were nerfed because people spammed dispersal pattern 3 tricobalts in STF to quickly nuke anything. PvP people complained only about the "one crit to rule them all". Put your head out of ...impulse engine exhaust port...and start to use your brain.

Depends on how said Klingon is trying to be sneaky.
Charging across the field bellowing war chants - not so much.

Taking the bet with your DI buddy that you can get that "Beatle Bailey" of a son out of his bed and moving like he should be without yelling or threatening - quite easy and fun.

Easiest $20 I ever won.

Boy, this thread has really meandered all over the place hasn't it?

Anyway, on the subject of the arc changes:

You'll see this in the next patch hopefully, but I figured I'd update you all on this topic now.

It seems there was a miscommunication among our team during the initial implementation of this change - these arc modifications were never intended to be extended to Console abilities, only Science Captain and Boff abilities.

So, we'll be reverting the arc alterations on all of the following:
- Breen Energy Dissipator Console
- Graviton Pulse Generator Console
- Isometric Charge Console
- Magnetometric Overload Console

We'll be keeping the arc modification in place for Aceton Beam, even though it wasn't originally intended to be included due to it being an Engineering ability.

well thats good. grav pulse did NOT need to be throwing an even wider net.

i was thinking, now that a 135 deg firing arc is a 'thing', how about a bit of a weapons rebalanced too? all torpedoes, make them go from 90 to 135, DBB too. and DCs, give them a 90 deg arc, up from 45. dcs might be sorta useful if it was easier to keep them locked on a target on less maneuverable ships.

for torps, they could be fired on the edge of broad side for cruisers, and DBB too, making them more desirable when pared with beam arrays. currently these are really only used for BO on escorts. DCs, compared to DHCs, are really bad. compared to all the other weapons they are normal, its just that DHCs end up draining your power less and hit in a more useful way. DCs need a buff, and a larger fireing arc is appropriate.

I'm afraid to ask, but does the breen energy dissipator revert apply to the breen set power as well, or only the console ?

The set bonus ability is basically Energy Siphon, just with a different name. It inherits all of its data from that power, with a few exceptions. So it's always had the same firing arc as Energy Siphon (360).

It wasn't touched in either of these sets of changes.

Amen there.

Anyways, thanks Bort. I'm glad that the console arc changes were a goof-up. Though thanks even more for leaving Aceton Beam with the increased arc.
