Are they going to get whatever side they're allied with is going to get? If so, are Romulan consoles going to go in the boxes? How will that work? If not, what are they going to get?

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.

When a Romulan sides with say, the federation. They then have access to ships and their console up to T4.
same goes for the KDF.

I very much doubt that Romulan consoles will be made available to the Fed/KDF, but it could happen.

Fed Eng (Main). Fed Sci. Fed Tac. Rom Sci (KDF)

I'm assuming when they get a lockbox console it will be for KDF if you're are ally with Federation

You can use the consoles of your allied faction (and fly the ships if you want, the consoles work on warbirds). It's unclear how this applies to lockbox consoles but it one would assume you'll get the console of the faction you're not allied with. You're locked out of tier 5 allied ships, but those consoles are restricted anyway. It does mean you can't get a 180 degree torpedo launcher if you're F-R and own the Regent.

Romulan consoles look like they won't be in lockboxes, since all of the ones discussed in the dev blog are limited to Warbirds, and most of them apply to the singularity core, which nobody else can use anyway.

Romulan consoles in a lock box would have to be a lock box for both factions, sooo a Romulan Lockbox

My guess is that Romulans would get access to the C-store consoles up to Tier 4 of their allies, then having to buy the Lockbox Consoles.
NO to ARC!

Season 9.5 = STO's NGE is Here! Welcome to the Grind!
Expansion 2 - Delta Rising: Welcome to Tier 6, where everything is now obsolete. Have fun with the new Crafting!

Well now we know. Doesn't tell us if Romulan Consoles are going to be in them though. :/

I'd imagine consoles that affect singularity cores will remain Rom exclusive. T5 consoles will remain Rom exclusive. And other consoles may well wind up in lockboxes similar to how Fed and KDF consoles wound up in lockboxes.
