I am not surprised its probably the best multi mission ship in the game regardless of what escort jocks say (meaning it can do pretty much Any job and cope)

Say it loud "I fly a Galaxy and im proud"

Actually of course I only fly galaxys on about half my fed alts the others being the wrong level or being vulcan

Of the three ships I've run it in -- Tac Odyssey, Chimera, and Atrox -- it's the carrier that comes in first most consistently, and it's the least-well geared of the three.

ditto my terribly geared klingon ship came in 1st before due to being with a pile of people who were worst. I think it took us 20-30 mins to drop the crystal...
By terribly geared I mean Mk X rare weapons I got for like 10k EC a pop, and cheap consoles I got for similar With 1 tac Boff with terrible skills that don't even help the weapons much like beam fire at will with only 1 beam weapon .

My near constant first/second placer is the fleet norgh/ning'tao - xi common quantum consoles and torps, xi common quantum mines in a spread3/spread2 aux2bat build with dual epts and a tss3 (plus hes and heals out the wazoo)

Considering its my pvp build with kinetic skills instead of energy, its remarkably good at sustained attacking and tossing heals on occasion - although I learnt to rapidly evasive to 11km when absorption hits 50% progression is a must

Beyond my norgh, I've first placed in a d'kora (atb kinetic build), fleet advanced sci vessel (normal kinetic type build with sci based heals), mirror voquv (rainbow turret/kinetic dual apbeta spammer trollboat), kamarag (kinetic atb with grav well Kamarag was fun), and mirror patrol (energy build tholian centric basher)

In the end success in ce is all about the build..and willingness to modify your build to kinetic destruction

During the event I rebuilt my T5 Intrepid into a healing oriented ship.
Since I did that, I came in 1st for each run of the CE I did, all I was doing was healing and dropping tricobalt mines randomly. If things got slow on the healing front I shot the odd tricobalt torpedo at the CE, but that was about it.

I've also found myself getting tied up dealing with the Tholians that spawn when the CE goes into absorption mode. If nobody else comes over to help I can actually be finishing off the wave as the next lot spawn. As far as I can tell, this seems to have hindered my score against the CE compared to ignoring the Tholians and just waiting for the CE to return to normal. Either the Tholians don't give points, or they give very few compared to the effort of 1 player taking them out

Don't feel too proud of having gotten first in a ship that isn't exactly spectacular...I've gotten first...once...in a Miranda. It's just a matter of lobbing enough torpedoes.
