I have a lot of fun flying Escort Carriers, but there is one thing that bothers me in PvE content. My pets get destroyed every time a couple spheres or a cube blows up (they tend to blow up a lot in STFs!). It also happens in other PvE content, to a lesser extent, tholians, fleet STFs, etc.

My suggestion is this: in PvE ONLY, give hangar pets immunity to warp core breach damage from destroyed NPCs. (Personally I think warpcore breach as a concept should be removed from the game, but im fine with having to tank the dmg on my own ship, but my hangar pets have literally no chance!)

This is seriously the one biggest thing hindering the fun factor of playing a carrier or escort carrier (or even the Vesta! $$$).

Why don't you recall your pets back when the cube is at 2% before it explodes..

Or just summon more pets not like it takes that long.

Because I DPS from under 5km, as any good escort pilot should, and recalling my pets will not save them. They will still be in range of warpcore breach damage.

Or get yourself out of range of the explosion before it happens and take your pets with you. There's really no need to take that damage in the first place.

What the dev's could be working on instead of making hanger pets immune to Michael bay movies, is a pet status screen on the UI.

I'd prefer a pet AI that isn't dumber than a sack of hammers.

A sack of hammers will stay where I put it and not fly down the street to tighten that loose board on a neighbor's porch.

Pretty sure that they mentioned that they were at least considering a pet # indicator somewhere in the UI, so at least it's on their radar.
