I thought i would try cannons for the first time since beta release (Never had a thing for them and "all power to the phasers" always sounds better in my head) seen as my Kumari comes with the wing cannons, i thought i would test a few different builds.. im asking for a few opinions.

*Points to note
1) I dont dabble in PvP
2) The build i have works pretty well for STFs already, im just looking for opinions and maybe a little tip or two
3) Im not bothered about survivability, i figure its made from sugar paper anyway so why not give them hell before i go boom
4) I love my Quantum salvos, (The Borg however, do not) so they wont be going anywhere

If you're not bothered with survivability drop the Field Emitter from Engineering (it shouldn't help your survivability much anyway) and put the Phaser dispersal array there instead, freeing up a Tac slot to pop in another Phaser Relay.

You should consider the Adapted MACO set for the two-piece +25% torp damage set bonus, to either enhance your Quantums further or to be able to replace the Zero Point Quantum Chamber with yet another Phaser Relay.

Rear Phaser Beam Array could be replaced with a turret to further enhance your forward firepower.

Here is my 2 cents on your build.

Always run 2 copies of tactical team on an escort.

You are missing 2 of the 3 universal consoles that increase damage, zero point energy conduit and tachyokinectic console.

Not crazy about the boff layout. You are missing Beta 3 and a Beta 2 or Beta 1, and are lacking in shield heals.

You need Hazzard Emitters for Elite stf's, so you are pretty much forced to make that universal station a science station. Make the lt ability Transfer shield strength 2.

You would be better off dropping that zero point console for another phaser relay.

You would also be better of dropping the field emitter and moving a universal console into that slot and putting in an emitter array or field generator. I'd strongly suggest getting embassy emitter array's with threat reduction and possibly shield or hull heals.

Maco is not an ideal set for escorts. Get the borg mk 11 deflector and engines. If you can get elite fleet shields, if you don't have access to them, stick with your maco mk 12 shield until you can.

Drop the scorpion fighters for an aux battery.

If you want to continue to run those 3 Andorian universal consoles then you either have to sacrifice crit and crit severity by not using the 2 universal consoles I mentioned above, or sacrifice defense by getting rid of your field emitter and field generator.

This is just what's worked for me. I've been flying the Kkyzon and Kumari since they were released. Once you get use to the drawbacks of the Kumari you don't die nearly as much.

Here is my build, I dropped phasers a long time ago, but you can atleast get an idea of what boffs and consoles work for me.

I use 3 VR projectile Doffs, 1 VR Hazzard, and 1 VR shield distribution officer for doffs.

My base crit chance sits at @ 14.4 and severity 80.5%, by using Romulan tactical officers

The only thing to remember when you fight them is to keep yourself at 6 or more km away, cause their heavy plasma torpedoes can kill you in one shot, an you will need a few seconds to aim and deestroy them.

Antiprotons are a little better than other weapons, due to their +20% on crit severity
also, their color matches well with that of plasma torpedoes XD

not good for ESTFs, I've already tried this build.
yeah, massive damage, but you will be blown away in exactly 15 seconds, or, if you are lucky, you can survive 25-30 seconds (by using tac team -> reverse shield -> tac team).

Also, you can't do appreciable damage to Elite Cubes, unless you get a Romulan Hyper-Plasma to fire High Yield Torpedoes like candies directly in their hull.

Aren't those torpedoes green? And AP beams are red?
