I am mainly on my Klink Char, but recently I have decided to restart my fed char off again, as he was my very first build on STO, and like with many first timers, he was set up all wrong, so I decided to scrap him, and start again.
I have just finished "the doomsday machine" mission off, and something struck me as very odd. When you are on the planet surface, and a B'rel is landed on the ground, you can stand right next to it, but the perspective seems to be all out of proportion.
According to this diagram, it should be much bigger. For example, you can see the bridge in the "saucer section" at the front, but on the mission, my klink char would struggle to fit inside the saucer section on his own!
My Klink pilots a B'rel, so I was surprised to see it portrayed as something much smaller than it actually is!
Because it is a static model in a level, I can dismiss this as a one off error, but has anyone else spotted scaling problems with the ships?
I can understand that the bop would take up most of the map, but i would still love to see it! lol
I actually never really realised about the shuttles till they were mentioned!
Also, I used my fed char with my old constitution class crusier (the model from Star Trek II not TOS) and i parked it next to a Galaxy Class at spacedock, and the size difference is epic! I would have thought that the Constitution class should be bigger than it is, not as big as the Galaxy Class i grant you, but still more than it is now!
I think the problem is that the B'rel model was used constantly throughout the 1980s for every single klingon ship, from the smallest bird of prey to galaxy-class sized cruisers because they didn't have the money to make new models all the time and had the ones from the movies, so they just re-used it everywhere.
-star trek online minimum DPS requirement vortex probe hp = 62365 x3 = 187095. speed = 0.8 km/s(about) giving about 25 seconds to kill them while in range, this means you need an effective DPS output of 7484, or your build is a failure. Star Trek canon depictions of battle: 1000km in dialogue = 1km on screen.
