I have reported the issue in game and my ticket says it was "resolved" and I get the standard "we're aware of the problem" answer, but I am not encouraged that they have not resolved the issue with CO yet apparently, so who knows how long we will have to put up with it at STO. I can't play like this, it is THAT BAD. We need to get together to make our voices heard or this will not get resolved I fear.

I have tried using the old 190. drivers as they suggested and I have tried the newest 195. drivers, nothing works.

How about you?

I'm running 8500gt's and the only time I've gotten the stuttering issue was when I was running in SLI mode. I'd lag like crazy for a minute and a half or so before things would smooth out again, but when running in single card mode I have no problems whatsoever.

I have a Nvidia 8800GT with 512mb Ram, my computer has 4gb of Ram, and Windows 7 64bit Premium. Using the most recent drivers.

I have major stutter problems whilst using the Ship customisation screen, I havn't consciously noticed it anywhere else though.

I am running the GeForce 6150 SE card with an AMD Athlon X2 5000 Dual Core processor with 3gb RAM and 320 gb HD...

The stuttering has always been an issue but seems more pronounced in the last couple of days. Hopefully they will fix it but I am not hopeful. I have heard that the GeForce cards have major conflicts with the Cryptic engine.

My husband and I both have used different cards - nVidia GForce card - 8800, 9800 and 9800 GTX series, 250 and 275 cards - run both CO and STO with no stuttering at all.

Stuttering is symptom of over running your components - need to dial down the settings. The 6100 series is old technology for this type of graphic interface

MSI NX 8600 GT-oc here, not having any problems, and Im just using the bog standard drivers that came with Win 7.

I did have major stuttering issues in CB when i was running with older gear but the same GFX card, which were fixed by upgrading to a quad proc, finally making the move from IDE to SATA II hard disks and doubling my ram....

CPU performance and hard disk bandwidth were almost certainly the issue in my case, as performance monitor thinks my card is running with much less load now.

EDIT: Sorry just saw your system specs. Your bottleneck is your GFX card Im afraid. Good new is you could probably upgrade to a low end 8x series card for around 30.

Try reverting to driver version 190.26. After doing so myself, I've had no problems with stuttering. Using a GTX 250.

been there done that, no joy. This was also a major complaint of the GeForce users with CO.

nVidia 9600 GT here, not had nay stuttreing with either STO or CO. I only play at 1280x960 though, whihc isn't hugely taxing for my system. Maybe try a lower res.
