No, enemy ships are definitely doing more damage. Can't say about ground combat yet, but I'll be keeping an eye out for it. Space combat has now crossed over the line to frustrating from challenging.

I had an encounter where one of the Raptors did over 800 dps with disruptors...and it wasn't a crit either.

I noticed some high bleed through from federation escorts, but I figured the cannons they had just had a good penetration effect. Took high hull damage with little shield damage. Probably about 1/3rd hull damage to 2/3rds shield damage. Seemed a little high but figured it might be as intended.

I'd say they are doing more damage! I ran the Orion Sector Patrol, Una System mission with another player to help him out. (this is where you have to clear out 5 squads of klingons that are cloaked around Fed Sats)

This was the SECOND time I did this mission and this time with a BETTER setup and several times I was getting killed before my shields where down, or I lost all shields I hear "Hull to 75%" and BOOM. First time I did this mission I was on my own with no setup other than what you start with.

I had to call in another friend of my with a Excalibur to help and even he was taken out within seconds a couple times.

These are newbie missions here - it was the third mission I ever did. It shouldn't be that hard!

I noticed an uptick in mysterious alpha shots and sudden (I'd say inexplicable) hull penetrations as well... Might not have noticed except that it's in missions that I have been doing over and over again for days now... So the difference was palpable...

Glad it wasn't just me being gimpier the better my gear gets =D

I did notuice that, at level 15, the fleet action on the klingon side, the enemies were 5 levels above me, on the fed side I did the gateway mission and must have die 7 or 8 times since all the enemies were 2 to 3 levels above me.

I thought it was gear too, I don't have as much LT COmmander gear as I'd like but looking at the LT COmmander gear vs. mine (Mostly uncommon parts) they are not THAT much better. Those Alpha shot in particular are desvestating, I turn pretty fast and what is happenning is any ship beats down all sides of my shields to nothing or near nothing, even with emergency power and a device to boost shields, if I live through the alpha, IF, the second attack I have no shields on all sides and usually 40-60% on my hull, if I am luck I pounded with my Escort one shield facing. You can't run, pump power into engines and you die from the attacks, once your in, it is nearly impossible to pull out. Range affects my weapons but not thiers as well. I tried to stay at just inside range on a battleship in one fight as opposed to my normal approuch from the side and pound one arc in close and move out for the boom. But at range my alpha attack did nothing to its shields, but its alpha attack was the same dropped my shields to zero on that arc and hull was at 55%, this was at 9.5 or so km.

however my bigger concern is the fact that it now seems enemies increasingly damage your hull THROUGH your shields now... i have 7000 points in my shields FOR A REASON! i want to be able to soak as much damage as possible before my hull starts to take damage.... but it seems my hull takes damage even WHEN MY SHIELDS ARE FULL.... this is pure lunacy...
If you look at the description of your shields you will most likely see a percentage of "bleed through" thats the amount of damage thats not absorbed from shielding and takes it out of the hull. I agree though ever since i got my escort basic ships like BoP's are doing alot more damage to me then i was in a miranda.
