# 1 Console not stacking....WHY?

I have the console Nadeon Detonater from the Bellephrone and the Photon Torpedo Defense Module from the Armitage. So why is it that when the photon torpedoes fired from the defense module hit thier targets there is not ensuing photonic shockwaves?

It clearly states in the description that the Nadeon Detonater works on PHOTON TORPEDOES. Is this an oversight? If not then it should come with a disclaimer that it will not stack with the Photon Torpedo Defense Module. I would not have wasted the Zen trying to come up with a unique strategy.

I haven't tried this, but I assume that it's because Nadeon affects torpedo launchers, whereas the point defense is a console that happens to launch torpedoes.

The Nadeon Detonator is an activatable power. You have to click it to upgrade your next torpedo attack.

Also it is not a passive power and wont work with the Armitage console....

lol that would be buckets of awesome. I wish it worked like that.

FYI you could buy it on Tribble for future experiments. I think the zen balance on Tribble reflects how much you've purchased, like ever, but IDK how often that refreshes.

"a Photon Torpedo" means "one", "uno", "einer" "un".
Just like the torpdo generates "a Photonic Shockwave", meaning ONE Photonic Shockwave, not two, three or a dozen.

Either you read the description properly or if you're unsure, you can ask.

Actually it works on torp spread 3 which happens to be more than one torp. Not trying to be snarky but if it works that way it should work on the Photon Defense Module too.

yeah but spread only hits one ship each, the console would pound a cloaked ship.. no? If i am wrong i am sorry dont burn me with hate lol

Okay, let's take it from the top.
When you equip a Photon Torpedo launcher on your ship, you have a "Photon Torpedo" launch button in your weapons panel.
THAT is what gets upgraded by the console from the Bellerophon.
That is the single torpedo I was referring to.
Of course this also stacks with the Spread Ability because it does the same thing.
The Console on the Heavy Escort Carrier is not such a torpedo, it is a console.
So it is not affected by another console because it's not a type of topedo attack you'll find in your weapons panel.

I dont have the console handy but from memory this console fires a barrage of photon torpedoes. The console boosts photon torpedoes and as you say it does not state otherwise so why does it not work with your photon torps?

So youve found a new bug, congratulations sir, even if that bug is a typo on the console itself!

Where exactly did you get that console cause it's not from the Armitage.

The Armitage comes with a Universal Torpedo Point Defense System. No mentioning of Photons. From memory it does something like 6 x 1250 kinetic dmg.

Nothing to see here, walk along.

[edit] And imho that console is a waste of slot.
