I play STO to farm EC and Items and gear. It's just what I like to do. I'm a collector. I like to farm in Kerrat and Starbase 24 and other maps that drop good stuff. I am a Tac captain and primarily flew escorts. I have every lockbox ship in the game and every c-store and fleet ship. In Kerrat I would get blasted by OP B'rels and their hack alpha PSW/combo and come across players that could take on 5 ships at once and never die. I researched and tried lots of different builds but never found anything that could tank 4 or 5 players at once and still be able to fight back with any real success. Or in Starbase 24 when the second wave hits and you are caught in the middle when 20 cruisers attack you at once, be able to survive without getting clear of the swarm. That was until I researched the Aux2Batt builds and loaded up my Fleet excelsior with this build:

all gear is Purple XII
8 Spiral wave disruptors
Adaptive Maco set.
Neutronium, Monotonium, Zero point, Borg console on the Eng consoles,
4 Disruptor Tac consoles
2 Field gens in the Sci consoles.

LT TAC: TT1, FAW1, BO2
CMDR ENG: ET1,RSP1,EPTS3, DEM3
LT ENG, EPTS1, AUX2BATT1
ENS ENG: EPTE1
LT SCI: HE1,TSS2

now I have been playing with replacing the Zero point with different universal consoles like the Tachyokenetic Converter, or the Gravaton pulse, Subspace jumper, Plasmonic leech etc and have not settled on one yet.

But this build simply does not die unless I mess up. And it can dish out massive DPS. In Starbase 24 I can sit right in the middle and just do the AUX2batt/DEM/FAW/BO combo and kill everything. I got 1st place 5 times in a row and didn't die once. And in Kerrat I will get attacked and not die after the alpha strike and most times the BOP will just give up and cloak and run. I can now handle attacks from 3 or 4 escorts at the same time.

I'm sure what i am posting is nothing new to some but coming from a player that never used key bindings or Gaming keyboards to become a space bar commando and uses the mouse to control my ship and abilities this build is game changer. So to other players that gave up on Kerrat due to the "leet" players with key binding setup that keep %100 up time on abilities or gaming keyboards that fire off combos with the bush of a button this build at least gave me a fighting chance. If anyone has any tips or tweeks that might improve this build any like running 2 copies of DEM or Aux2batt or perhaps adding the wide angle torp, or perhaps a different ability for the ENS ENG station please chime in.

I love the fact you call the ship with the lowest hull and shields in the game, overpowered.

The BoP pays for it's ability by being really good when you get the jump and scarily bad if anything even looks at you funny.

I do like your build and only a few suggestions for you.

First is tactical. Since you're going for a broadsiding beast with BFAW I'd change out the BO2 for a BFAW3 and replace the the lt slot with a APB1. this will help you by reducing the resist of every target your beams are striking. You should especially use it when you have APA, TF, and DEM going. APD1 can also be used if you feel people are constantly focusing on you which will add some resist for you. You'll see your target's melt faster. Now as for why no BO is that with your massive power drain from 8 beams you'll get 1 little spike then need to recover from it for the rest of the beams to increase and apply more dps.

Engineering... Replace the EPTE with EPTW. It'll help with the weapon power drain plus add 10% damage for 30 seconds which with AUX2BATT you could keep up majority of the time.

Now you could also use 2 Aux2batt boffs so your longer CD abilities spool Back even faster. This has a small downside as you'd have to give up your EPTS3 for a RSP2 and rely solely on EPTS1 but I believe sometimes the benefit outweighs the loss.

Now consoles I'd keep the zero point and borg and replace the monotanium for the Tachyokinetic console. Also get a Romulan bridge officer for tactical now your crit chance is going to be huge. The jumper console is great but may not fit in too well into this build, but you could always try it out in place of a field generator.

Try these changes, see if you like it. This build also works on the fleet assault cruiser.

Science boffs are fine. Just remember to hit your HE and TSS2 BEFORE Aux2batt.

Cannon cruiser can work too. As for the weapon types that they could all work but I personally go for function instead of canon or RP.

What do you mean nby function as phasers and Ap are just that besides it is my personal preference?
