did anyone notice that the nukara (Mk XII) Deflector is the weakest one?

Just check all Mk XII deflectors and add all the numbers.

Borg = 102,4
M.A.C.O. = 105.0
Adaptet M.A.C.O. = 105,4
Nukara = 87.5

Why ???

Borg, Omega, MACO, KHG, AMACO, AKHG...are STF sets.

The Romulan, Reman, Nukara, Jem, Breen...are not.

hat answer isn't helpful at all ...

I am talking about MK XII puple high end gear, every piont counts

I checked the Romulan and Reman Deflector too and they have EVEN a checksum of (!!!) 111 ( !!! ) six piont more

That makes this stuff even more supirior.

And the breen set is just mk 11

The Nukara Deflector is clearly UNDERPOWERED.

I just wanna an explicit answer, PLZ

I have used this set in PVP and PVE and honestly its not that bad, I ran it on a Fleet Excelsior beam boat. I used the full space set and the 3 piece beam, mine console set and the reputation Tetryon beams or Advanced Fleet Tetryon beams. It strips shields very well and does extremely well vs Tholians. I dont run many Deflector abilities but the shields do tend to hold up rather well.

The bonus to Tetryon damage is nice and being able to hit mulitple targets with a BO is nice also. But the set seems designed to be used just for the CE mission. All its bonuses and abilities seem geared for fighting groups of Tholians and nothing else.

This Set is explicit build to fight the Tholians.

the only Damage the Tholians do is Tetryon & Radiation Damage.

They Deactivate your Weapons System and even for this effekt your set bonus
instantly re-activate it again. What else is there to want ?

-------------------------------
-------------------------------

OK, now it is getting weired,

- Breen Deflector Mark XI - has a total of 81,1 Stat Pionts

- Nukara Deflector Mark XI - has a total of 81,2 Stat Pionts

- Jem'Hadar Deflec. Mark XI - has a total of 97.6 Stat Piont (+ 1% Stealth Detection)

-----> Everything OKAY !!!

--- !!! BUT !!! ---

The Nukara Deflector Mark XII - has a total of 87.5 <------- !!! SOMETHING is wrong here !!!
----------------------------------------------------------
The Jem*Hadar Deflector Mark XII - has a total of 104,8 (+2% Stealth Detection)
----------------------------------------------------------
The Borg Deflector Mk XII = has a total of 102,4
----------------------------------------------------------
M.A.C.O. Deflector Mk XII = has a total of 105.0
----------------------------------------------------------
Adap. M.A.C.O. Deflector Mk XII = has a total of 105,4
----------------------------------------------------------
Reman Adv. Deflector Mk XII = has a total of 105,0 (+30 Stealth Value)
----------------------------------------------------------
Romulan Adv. Deflector MkXII = has a total of 105,0 (+15 Stealth Value + 2 % Stealth detection)

Ok in more detail: I do not think that simply adding the stats tells you anything about the worth of a deflector.

For me that poses several questions:
Is a low tier stat worth as much as a high tier one (since higher stats are a larger skill point investment for a player)?
Are active stats worth as much as passive ones?
Is a stat that does not exist on consoles worth more?
Is the combination of stats on the deflector useful?
Should science ships profit more from deflectors? Should general deflectors that help everyone have as many stats as those who buff specific builds?

Also there are set bonuses to consider (and special bonuses). In the end I look which deflector buffs my build or which set bonus I want most. I do not care what the sum of the stats is.

That said the nukara deflector has a decent choice of stats. You do net need a specific build to use it, it helps everyone. The KHG for example buffs mostly active sci powers, so only a sci ship will be able to use all/most of it.

That said the nukara deflector lacks a special bonus and the set bonus is not that attractive as well. I would not increase the stats but maybe add something special to make it more interesting.

In the end I dont really care that much. There are many not so useful items around. More good gear choices are always nice. But it is already a lot better than before the rep system, where (almost) everyone had 3 piece borg.

That's the Cryptic answer.

Omega, KHG/AKHG, MACO/AMACO are the top sets.
Rom/Rem, Nukara, Jem are not.

As for the Breen only having Mk XI - I wouldn't be surprised to see a Lobi Mk XII down the road if any additional Breen ships are added. JHAS, they added JHEC and JDread...Jem Mk XII. Chel Grett, potentially add X and Y...Breen Mk XII.

It won't change that in Cryptic's eyes, the Task Force Omega sets are more difficult to acquire and thus will be better than other sets.

There might be an argument to be made about the Nukara Set...if any Tholian STFs are added. I don't think that's going to happen, though. New STFs? Sure. There's supposed to be a new Rep system too - it could use some STFs, eh? They pulled Terradome...hrmmm. There's supposed to be a new enemy. Etc, etc, etc...I'd wager 2 EC (not 3, but 2...sure) that much of that is all going to be tied together and there will be a new set that is on par with the Task Force Omega stuff.

It's extremely easy to get the Nukara stuff - easier than getting the Rom/Rem stuff even.

unfortunately it is that simple to judge about an Deflector

like a said i compaired them all Mk I to Mk XII green / blue / purple
you will ALWAYS get a static number after adding all stats together.

A few months ago i even compared weapons,
they have the same mechanic i could tell you already which
stats a MK XX weapon (white, green, blue, purple) would have.

Static numbers are everywhere in the Game, you just have to look closer.

they didn?t put much effort in the hole nukara set, at all.
and i wanted it so badly ... But now i am so disappaionted ...

The nukara shield has the problem --> the "PayBack" Ability, is like the Ground Shields.
It not even enhances by Mk X to XII - just stay 1 %
And since that Game is all about Damage, most players will be completly disappionted
the Idea of the Retailiation is very good but the DPS outcome is practical non-existing.

-----------------------------------------------

Just for stating the obivous,
Omega Reputation is the easiest of all just 1 Elite STF gives me
(about) 100 Omega Marks with a mediocre groups i can finish
at least 2 of the 4 BORG STFS on Elite.

With my Fleet i finish all of them and earn almost 500 Omega Marks under 1 hour

(try that with "Nukra Strikeforce" or "New Romulus")

I don?t want to complain at all. I love the game, and love to play it.
I just hope that someone read this and take a some changes in consideration.

everyone has (almost) exactly the same Equipment, wouldn?t it be cool
to see more diffrence once in a while.

Thats all,
have a good day, Night or day.
