I am a citizen.
A concerned citizen of SALTAH'NA.
I have eyes and can see what is going on now.
It's not hard to see the poor state of our great world.
Our nation has been fighting a war with the Dominion; Vorta incursions into our great house; pirates galore; and upset, disgruntled brethren that have taken up arms against their own world
The Dominion is a powerful coalition, with a vast economy.
The Dominion supports and protects their conquered worlds, which in turn provide financial backing for their war efforts.
One of these ways that we know of, is through Cardassian shipping being supplied by Ferengi miners with silver and cobalt in the Teplan and Ladeg systems.
We have chased these Cardassian Mastadon ships which run and dock on Kendi bases for their protection.
The Boslic also have enough resources to employ some of the best mercenaries found in any of the house systems. Their neutrality not withstanding.
Another front that our world fights, is against some of our distant brethren, the Idanians that are based in Finnea Prime. Though we still are unsure of whether that is their homeworld or a colony.
They have vast resources at their disposal as well.
They have advanced ships and even recently obtained capital ships.
Where do these ships come from, and how are they financed?
On top of their own fighters, they too employ some of the best mercenaries, and spies, in the Beta Quadrant.
Some of those mercenaries are the very same ones that the Boslic employ.
Does this guild finance the Idanians? Difficult to prove, but I would say yes - and so would others.
Two war fronts.
Two different enemies, using the same mercenaries and also being financed through some of the same circles. Possibly, but not proven.
Our world lacks the raw resources that our enemies seem to have.
Our world doesn't support it's apparent relations. Why do I say this?
Where is the support they provide to their spies, that they have called back their ships that were "loaned" to them for their defense?
Why recall these important ships and equipment that have proven so valuable in the defense of their supporters?
Are these important ships going to the front lines somewhere? If so, why pull them from the "front" of which they are currently in defense?
Are they going to provide the support in the form of our own mercenary units, who protect us, and push the war into our enemies homeland?
Mean while our world's enemies and all these mercenaries slaughter the workers supporting the economy.
They slaughter our brave soldiers defending our borders that are more and more being encroached on further, daily.
They turn a blind eye as this parasitic Vorta guild has been negotiating for so called "peace" in the Gamma Quadrant.
This peace protects the various companies involved from attacking each other, but not from all the mercenaries slaughtering our brave miners and transport ships.
It protects "the guilds" interests the most and stops our nations expansion, creating "boundaries" for our people in which to work. Boundaries, some would say, for our great world.
Who is this guild to tell our great world SALTAH'NA, where it can, and cannot go?
The military turns a blind eye to this insult on our people.
They are too busy fighting all the mercenaries of the Boslic to support it's very own workers.
Has the government been corrupted?
Some of our upset brethren who have taken up arms are proclaiming this - is it true?
Is it true?! It can't be, but it's harder and harder to tell as we are restricted more and more, without the support of our government.
Have our leaders been compromised by groups' interests or subverted by enemy espionage agents from Finnea or elsewhere?
There have even been rumors of military units breaking off from Cardassia and attacking OUR enemies on their OWN, without the help of the Kressari.
I tip my hat to this rumored group.. umm, the Cardassian Intelligence Bureau I believe they are called.
There is no proof of this elite group, they have protected themselves from our own government maybe by erasing their own files.
Maybe they can put a dent in our enemies resources and supply chains as our enemies have done to us.
Attack their own shipping and merchants in their own house space; make their fighters leave the fronts to defend their own core systems.
Maybe it put such a drain on their economy they can no longer afford these elite mercenary units.
It is proven our own military is confined to protecting it's borders and not in reclaiming or gaining ground.
This is something I want the citizens of SALTAH'NA to think over.
I am a citizen of SALTAH'NA.
I am a concerned citizen.
There are many other citizens of SALTAH'NA who have not uttered their weariness.
I am a loyal citizen, don't question that. I will fight and die for my world if need be.
Mean while our enemies protect their resources and military might by employing hordes of mercenaries on every front to fight us.
The same mercenaries fighting for different people? Or are they possibly the same people, just under the disguise of different people....?
What can we do?
We are at the command of our Karvan - we do as he commands.
We do our jobs with out question and without hesitation in the hope that he will lead us to victory and not let our world fail to -------
Any captain may make an rp post if they wish, even post as a random officer somewhere. Treat the above transmission as you wish. I.E., at various times, places - keep in mind that time and space can be bent. So use that! An only make NEW posts. No replies unless you are combing an post of another captain as if you are communicating with him about the initial post.
Reviewing local reports, the system wide broadcast piped over the open frequencies and bandwidth.
He thought this was another call to arms against the Kanzler as so many had done in the past. Perhaps just another political spout of how they were right and all else were the problem.
Yet the voice was steady, calm, poignant and drawing; the connection between Cardassia, and his former friends within the Dominion.
Placing the data pad down he listened to every word intently, looking to hear signs of misdirect, impunity, or some ramble that would make the speaker divulge the hidden intention of his real message. There was none.
He himself felt the Finnean groups, left to virtually fend for themselves, brought each to a breaking point in one way or another. Uniting them in some goal, some unified drive, rang in his mind over and over.
Yet more and more the drive of the message came back to one group.
He thought to himself how it all sounded familiar, like something he heard once before.
The messaged ended as he waited for some banner of Qo'nos or some new '??way'?? symbol to appear, but nothing.
He sat there for a few moments considering the message, how it rang true to the unity of the Federation, a call he himself took into his own hands.
Yet through it all, he couldn't help how the message left him feeling, uneasy.
Sometimes, when all you want is to gain your freedom, you must be willing to lose it all.
it was late at the bridge-deck of the Symphonica, Flagship of MÆRSK.
Captain Schultz staring at the charts to look for possible routes through
Rolante and Vreena,
'Captain', said his communications officer and showed printed version
of the communique, for the last time he said captain.
Schultz, calm as usual, looked up from his charts, took the print, sat down in his captains chair, and started reading.
When he finished reading, he ordered to the First Officer to have a meeting with all officers, and so ten minutes later they all where at the bridge-deck. Schultz started talking,
'Und jetz, another concerned citizen who will be gone, either underground
or in prison, in my opinion, needs to be evacuated from Foraelis before they have him or her.'
'But captain, we should not risk our own ship. Think of the crew!,' the first officer said. then the second officer said, 'Maybe we should get this message broadcasted again.' 'Yes, lets do that,' said the captain, 'but do it as anonymously as possible from our spare transceiver.
