Please, no more Section 31 nonsense. They don't seem to be able to tell any stories, even those that don't involve the UFP, without the "oooh super secret CIA stuff's going on" card. S31 is highly overrated IMHO. As far as lockboxes go I don't care, nothing involving those ships makes any sense anyway. They could put "captured and repurposed borg mini cubes" in there.

This.

I wish they'd perished in flames in THIS timeline instead of the other.

Not even if it's a Galaxy with built-in seperation ability and universal Lt. Cmdr. station

S31 is just one of the lamest plot excuses ever concieved by Trek authors. I'm not opposed to presenting "the dark side" of the UFP, but S31 has been misused in that regard that people wrote Star Trek and especially STO to be somewhat akin to the Terran Empire or Warhammers Empire of Man because basically EVERYTHING is S31 and utilized for total war.

Btw: The salvaged borg mini cube lockbox ship would be, of course, an escort/raptor style ship with DHC and 30 turn, 6 tac consoles and built-in abilities

It could have a console where it gives a 5 minute cooldown on a phased battle cloak.
Faction specific reputation sounds interesting.

Federation - Section 31 (or Star Fleet Intelligence)

Klingon - Klingon Intelligence

Romulan - Tal Shiar

Going back to Section 31 i could see some of the more nasty technologies from the Delta Quadrant like refractive shielding and Radiation mines.

Untraceable transporters to beam high explosives near warp coils, adapted borg technology etc.

For ships it would have to be relatively small vessels simply because large cruisers attract too much attention. From this point of view more tactically oriented Nova and Intrepid seem to fit the bill.

Or a Fed Dreadnaught/Klingon K't'inga/Romulan Dderidex variant (new ship parts/costume) with 10 consoles and an enhanced battle cloak. Special consoles equipable on all three including a cannon slot and/or maybe an arc bonus to all equipped weapons.

For the Feds, it's a S31 ship. For Klingons, it's Klingon Intelligence. For Romulans, it's D'Tan's own "dirty ops" intelligence agency (maybe Reman Secret Police?)

If you read the Romulan missions, you'd see that D'Tan is not above dirty intelligence practices, lying to his allies, and two-faced diplomacy. He doesn't like dirty tactics. He does use them. He's a LOT like CERTAIN real world political leaders in that respect.

I like the fed dread, but i think a vessel that size would be too high profile for a secretive organization like S31

I would agree with more assimilated vessels and perhaps a mini tactical cube but I don't know about s39 ships

No. No. No no no no no.

I'm perfectly fine with the Tal Shiar Adapted ships. But playable Borg ships (spheres and cubes) is the worst suggestion. So for god's sake, stop suggesting it, please.

My money's on the Elachi being in the next lockbox. Much of the coding for a flyable Sg'olth Escort is already in-game, so it makes logical sense for them to use something that already exists rather than build something new from the ground up.
Iconian? A label created by the Dewans to give voice to their destruction.
In the end, what they chose to call us is irrelevant.
We simply... are.
