I suggest that on June 16th of every year (or a date approved by CBS) that we celebrate Captains' Day in STO.

The lore would be that the crew and children of the Enterprise D carried the idea of Captain Picard day to other ships, where it caught on and eventually became celebrated fleet-wide. Eventually, it was formally adopted as a holiday to celebrate those Starfleet Captains who have made a significant impact on life within the Federation (much like the USA's Presidents' Day).

The festivities themselves would involve references to the Captains of canon history and any soft-canon characters that fit into the STO timeline.

As for the Klingons, Worf may have encouraged the Empire to have their own Day of Songs that coincides with Captains' Day.
