For PVE the spread is nice to hit multiple targets and Acc is less of a concern

For pvp it's more difficult since the TS3 with those torps will miss more but will help clear spam and make up the difference on other targets. Very effective against cruisers and science but not as much against speedy escorts.

Pros and cons for both in pvp but pve the spread is clear winner

Are you sure you don't have a typo in there? TS3 has 100% accuracy, they can never miss. Escorts can never escape from Torpedo Spread but can with High Yield. In other words, what you just wrote can't possibly be true. Did you really do these tests or just make them up?

Yes i actually did the test. I used to believe the same until I was shown different. The visual effects are 100% but the damage and crits are not. The damage numbers are about the same as a unbuffed single torp with Accx3 when it doesn't crit.

This is impossible and totally false. I have been using nothing but Torpedo spread for as far as I can remember. Not once did the TS miss, ever. The reason why this is impossible is because the way STO engine calculates TS damage is made at the moment the torps were launched per the dev team. Plus, when my torps hit the target, the amount of actual damage per torp appears on the screen and torp spread always list the damage per torp, not a wholesome number since they don't all crit even for those within the same volley.

And contrary to your claim that visual effects are 100%, that is in fact not true. The visual effects animation aren't always there due to a number of reasons, delay, lag or simply the target has flown too far away. After a while, if the visual animation cannot be played, the target will simply register the hits and the corresponding damage numbers without the visual effects. And in cases where the target's hull reach 0, they will blow up even without any visual effects of being hit.

Conclusion : It's impossible you have done the tests that you claimed have done. If TS are no longer 100% accurate, not only I'll be the first to notice, there will be a lot of threads about it by now. Plus, anyone familiar with TS knows the visuals aren't always there so for anyone to claim that is 100% can only mean their statements are completely made up - aka. fabricated.

That's ok. Don't believe me ask the Devs. And my 100% for visuals does not consider lag issues
