We gotta do something cause nobody else will do this for us. Looks like our ISP may be responsible for our disconnects as from what i see people who are not using Comcast don't get disconnected.

Please if possible include your tracert log, if you don't know how to get it here are some steps (please do this as soon as you get disconnected):

1. Hit Start Button
2. Run
3. Type cmd, hit Enter
4. in Command Prompt window type tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com - hit Enter.
5. When tracert complete, go to the top left corner of the 'black' window, click left mouse button on the icon.
6. Select Edit - Mark.
7. Select the tracert results and hit Enter, it will copy the text into your Clipboard.
8. Come back here to your post and paste the results to it by using Ctrl+V buttons.

Or if you are NOT using Comcast and still get disconnected please provide your Internet Service Provider name:

Comcast - getting frequent disconnects here since january 19th. (Overall Internet works fine, problems only with STO).

Lets verify if its Comcast's ISP fault.

Possible resolutions/workarounds:

Change ISP? (I am actually doing this, adding DSL service from different ISP along with my current cable from Comcast to verify if this is ISP problem. This will eliminate ISP question completely if the disconnects will continue for me on Monday).
Take the STO launcher out of your firewall and add it back in. For some people this decreased the number of disconnects.

It seems to be comcasts and savvis's problem. I wish you guys luck in getting your connection sorted. It's getting beyond a joke now.

Comcast-Getting disconnected from server.

Only recently though. I was able to play the first week or so no problems.

Edit: Also wanted to say that overall internet works fine as well.

Edit#2: It seems im constantly getting "server not responding" while playing. About half the time itll freeze for like 30 seconds and then continue on. The other half it kicks me to login saying "disconnected from server". Im able to log right back in though, unless like last night, it was during prime time and I got busy server message.

Edit#3and 4: Heres a better one closer to when I actually dc'd. Actually has some timeouts.

I've been getting disconnects too, since just before that large patch. before that there weren't any connection issues while playing.

My provider's Comcast as well.

-Edit again-
I've been looking a little more into it and this Savvis company recently cracked down on spammers worldwide. Maybe their infrastructure changes have negatively impacted online game data transfer?

I'm getting frequent "server not responding", rubberbanding, and disconnects. I'm not with Comcast and my connection across the WAN as far as Cryptics patch server is flawless.

Op, if i may make a small suggestion, can you edit your post to ask everyone with probles to include a tracert to cryptics servers, and possibly a copy of their nettest results? That way if a dev looks here, they can see straight away where people are having problems, and make advice.
