I actually haven't been one to complain much about it before.

nah, remember the bug from the shield heal of omega rep, or the human boffs repairing like gods
space pvp could use some balance... but its not that bad atm

That shielding was just a bug though. Right now the queues are slow, and combat largely consists of being stuck in an endless series of pet tractor beams -- whoever brought the carrier wins. Personally I've never seen anything this bad since launch.

yes, the new interceptors make everyone go crazy but theres nothing we, at least can do.... no one hear our opinions, or if they do, they wont do anything... or they will probabily say :

"it is working as intended"

There's been quite a bit going on elsewhere in the MMOverse...so it's possible players are elsewhere at the moment, and it just looks like things are bad for PvP (could just be bad for STO in general, whether temporary or otherwise).

I agree on philosophical level. After all, entropy must always increase, and therefore, everything gets worse. Thus, the present is always the worst it has ever been, but the future will be even worse. This process will continue until, like all players, you eventually can no longer stand it and quit.

At that point, there is no sense in returning: Things will simply continue to get worse. Net improvement is physically impossible, and things can only improve by ruining other things, making the whole worse off than it ever was.

I can agree.
Lately the queues have taken ages to run through, then when you get there its a team, be it premade or pug team insistent on using as much cheese and spam as possible. Not even winning with skill but the AI controlled toys.
Get the odd good run but out of 30 Ive had 5-6 decent no nonsense runs.
Dont mind a little bit of cheese, its gonna happen but some just seem to take it to game breaking levels, literally, it creates massive lag on the server and glitches graphics out.

what about if you pick your friends an form a team? Since when play with a team/premade or whatever is wrong? i think the actual idea behind pvp is that...

They managed to take some of the most complained about pets (Danubes, Siphons, Interceptors), and make them worse by adding even more of what was complained about through the Star Base "Elite Fleet" Store.

I don't mind the pets too much as the effect they have is to create an environment where the typical escort isn't the god mode, spam clearing, aoe builds and a little space for cruisers to be useful comes from this.

Given that the Valdore console was finally fixed, today is probably better than yesterday for all those who think *balance* is what makes pvp fun.
12th Fleet Are recruiting Active PvP'ers.
We have Full T5 starbase, Teamspeak and over 200 active members.

Go to Recruitment room and beam up! You'll be glad you did.
