Perhaps they want you to have to choose between single target abilities and multiple?

I know the pet spam means nothing to my cruiser.

There is really not much in particular that prevents Cruisers from drowning in pets the same way Escorts do.

In fact, cruisers tend to have fewer escape cards than escorts.

You're unfortunately looking at it from your, one single, build.

Do you only ever PvP 1v1?

PvP is a team sport, and the instant you have to stop trying to kill the other opponent in favor of trying to kill their completely replaceable and expendable pets with free BOFF powers, then you are already losing the exchange.

Hey maybe with the new Pet UI, and new health bars for these cute little buggers we should be allowed to achieve a kill score on the score board for every X amount of pets you defeat (2 or 3, since that's what a hangar can launch).

That would probably curb quite a bit of carrier use, and also convince people to slot more AoEs.

I don't PvP 1on1 ever.

Escorts are the ones that target a single person. If they don't get their insta kill they take off like a bat out of hell till their cool downs expire.

See, I can paint with a broad stroke too.

If you don't think that my popping a BFaW to mow down all these elite fleet Yellowstones is a team action, then you haven't been in a match with two carriers spamming those damned things.

It's not that I don't think it's a team action.

And I've been in matches of 4 carriers spamming pets.

The point is that we are in a game now, that has pets with more hull than some actual BOPs.

With mechanics that allow their cooldowns to be brought amazingly low.

And now a new mechanic that will allow pets to grow more powerful the longer they are alive.

They also have multiple bridge officer powers that they basically cast at no cost to the owner.

Unlike you that had to slot BFAW, and use a bridge officer station as well as dedicate time fighting NPC pets.

You actually incurred a cost opportunity.

That however, is a loss of the exchange.

Given that the Valdore console was finally fixed, today is probably better than yesterday for all those who think *balance* is what makes pvp fun.

Two words: Polarize Hull. That at least buys you some freedom to maneuver, at which point you can use FAW, Torpedo Spread, etc., to clear out the small craft. If Polarize Hull is on cooldown, try Evasive Maneuvers; it's not as effective, but it's better than nothing.

In my opinion, it depends on how bad and prevalent the new energy doff will get. Until then, sto is somewhat fine as long as I don't encounter premades squirting cheese everywhere.

Here, here. PVP has become no fun anymore when Escorts have abilities to one-shot cruiser's and carriers like they are shooting level 1 NPC's. When they can take a Carrier/Cruiser equipped with the top gear in the game from %100 to dead in under 2 seconds or less something is not right. I never thought I would agree with all the "Nerf Escorts" QQ'rs but
after 4 months of PVPing every night it's now obvious.
