# 1 Fleet Alert Romulans

When the Romulans are the enemy in Fleet alert, the final dread is a Scimitar. The problem is it flied just like donatra, i.e. it cloaks all the freakin time. It makes it really hard to make the time limit, much harder than it is with any other faction as the enemy. Plz adjust the cloaking

I have had the same occur. We failed to complete it because the final ship spent all it's time cloaked. The cloaking is a mismatch with a time limited event such as this.

Yes. I think they should revert Scimitars in timed events like this one to the old, easier version. Other non-timed Scimitars can stay.

I agree. I've just been facing Romies for the second time today in Federation Fleet Alert, and the named ship within the final group is simply overpowered. Not only does it have a lotus weapon, but it also cloaks all the time. Finishing it before time runs out is next to impossible.

I have completed the final wave of Scimitar + Romulans several times.

The 5km Rule helps a lot: stay 5km away from the Scimitar and it will cloak less often.

Focus fire on it and don't forget about it when it cloaks, you can use that time to do some damage to the rest of the wave but you'll want to get right back to blasting on it when it decloaks.

The best time to unload long cooldowns and such is after you're out of the Thalaron cone it preps after some decloaks. It can't do anything else until it fires so have at it!

If your group deals good damage and follows the above you can kill the scimitar with no problems.

5k rule didn't help, after it was all alone the darned thing spent the WHOLE TIME cloaked, that's a minute and a half cloaked, and there was nothing we could do about it.

Agreed, there is a problem with the time limit. Yes, it can be killed in time, but whether it stays visible long enough seems to be entirely up to luck.

It should either:
a) Have restrictions on the cloak so its guaranteed to be visible at least some of the time or
b) Not be immune to anti-cloak countermeasures or
c) Not have a time limit

I might also point out here that its kind of backwards that a defensive mission fails if the attacker chooses to hide all the time instead of attacking.
