# 1 Andorian weapons escort set up

what type of weapons would be a good combo set up for this class escort. I was thinking phaser beam arrays but not sure. From what I have been reading the andorian beams are so so.

Though I am still new, I was under the impression that for escorts, you should be using dual cannons, or dual heavy cannons in the front, with 1 torpedo launcher, and all turrets in the back. All matching damage type, with tac consoles improving your damage of choice.

Escorts do the most Damage with DHC's in the front and Turrets in the back.

Andorian Phasers or any other weapon type.

escorts almost always use DHC's + Turrets and sometimes a single frontal torpedo

beam arrays are only generally used on cruisers and that is it.

4 plasma or ( but not both) antiproton dual heavy cannons and 1r omulon torpedo fore
1 plasma or ( but not both) antiproton turret and 1 borg kinetic cutting beam aft

Go with the sci andorian escort (kyzon) if going plasma so you can outfit the plasma infuse sci consolesx4 that boost the plasma dot damage

If you havent bought a ship yet or bought all 3 remember these key points
Kumari has a commander, lt. commander, ensign tact....the ensign tact is fairly useless. It has 5 tact consoles, 3 engineer, and 2 scis.

kyzon has 4 tact 4 sci 2 engineer

charal has 4 tact, 4 engineer, 2 sci

The boff loadouts for the kyzon and charal vary slightly but can be set up the same.

kumari has my vote for antiproton weapons
kyzon for plasma
charal with antiprotons. for extra survivability through consoles

I went with the charal, i didnt know about all of the above when i made my choice

kyzon with plasma is the clear winner for anything that doesnt auto pop so the dots can roll out

kumari with anti proton for max burst damage

I have the Kumari Tac version, though it has a glass jaw.. it can hit pretty hard.

I like the wing cannon overload so I built mine around phasers, no Fleet phasers yet but I have been running mk XII purples with acc and critD modifiers. Aside from the color not matching the andorian theme it works pretty damn good.

2 x neutrino mk xi blue
1 x wing cannon overload console
SCI
1 x field gen mk xi blue
1 x assimilated module
TAC
5 x Phaser relay MK XI blue (purples are pricey)

Omega - Deflector
Borg - Engines
Omega - Shields
I change sets around alot between omega-maco-borg

I have also run ALL AP weapons. 5 AP tac consoles, 4 DHC, DBB up front. It works very well too, just have to keep and eye on weapons power with DBB and BO then hammering with Cannons.
