10 Weapons slots, seriously two more than any other ship in the game. Oh but there has to be 2 turrets minimum...

Could you at least pitch an idea that's balanced instead of a power grab.

The Scimitar has 8 (I consider it a Cruiser with a Hanger like the Orion Cruisers), Most Carrier's have 6 the pets are supposed to make up for the lower amount of weapon slots. The Kar'Fi and JH Dreadnought have 7.

The Carrier your asking for is the JH Dreadnought. Oh look it's already in the game. It may not have a federation paint job but it is available.

The Atrox should have Frigates, but they should be of Catian design. Not a Starfleet Escort like the Defiant or Sabre, not the Aquarius that would logically be built in a 1:1 ratio with the Odyssey but a Catian Frigate class.

Every Carrier in the game has a Fighter & a Frigate to go with it except the Atrox.

Now the Federation really do have enough ships, maybe let somebody else get a ship before asking for another.

As soon as the other battle carrier in this game, the Kar'fi, gets similar weapon numbers we're in business.

Look, if you want to play a good guy while captaining a carrier, just roll a Fed Rom.

Regardless of what D'tan say, you are a Romulan race in Federation. You are not the old bad guy Romulan Star Empire, you do not go out and attack random friehgters or colonies (that's for Rom KDF)

You start out as a typical RPG-style doomed hometown, not a scheming 2nd officer of a Romulan Star Empire ship.

You join basically a resistance that have the option of getting Federation recognition, not a Romulan Star Empire soldier.

A Rom-Fed is a feddie that focus on attacking Tal Shiar, but once they are done you serve and report to Federation and get their PvE missions. Your scimitar is just as federation-style as a caitian ship.

Please take your preconceptions out of my thread. Of course the game is narrow and should be changed. I will STILL want a battle carrier concept, because that is what I want to play in. Devs, please don't listen to this guy.

Back to reality: Did you not read? Ten weapon slots that can ONLY BE USED FOR TURRETS. Or, and here is the best part SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO ENCOURAGE BIG SLOW BOAT WITH TURRETS GAMEPLAY. Please read before posting.
2. HEC is an HEC. That's Heavy. Escort. Carrier. Not a full carrier, and not a big slow tub with 2 hangar decks.
3. I don't care about frigates, honesetly. I wouldn't use them.

You come in here with negative preconception about what I want and what people like, please stop. Actually read. I've been playing this game since Beta.

Again, do people not read? not 2 turrets minimum, mostly turrets, or all turrets. I know you can read, so why not do that. You get the concept yet? SO instead nitpicking what I wrote, why not go with what I stated the concept was, big slow boat with turrets. And, btw, just because YOU don't want it doesn't mean it isn't valid or less likely to be made.

actually, defiants would be about right. good way to put these little pt boats in their place too, since they would be free to be a little bit tougher than other little dingies.
nova's would be a bit more of a stretch though. despite their lack of mass putting them in the same weight class, they arent as compact.

but you are right about miranda analogues, those are destroyers, not frigates.
as it turns out, an intrepid would lose a fight with a connie.

The Scimitar itself isn't a full carrier. It only has one hangar bay. Carriers are science ships. Hybrid carriers have less hangar bays. Your idea doesn't fit the game's design much at all.

I think the guy is thinking of either the JHDC and or Kar'fi.

here's the problem, though:

-Kar'fi is basically a HEC that trade turn rate for extra hangar. Oh, it's still a science ship at heart, with cmd science Boff.
-JHDC, while is more or less what you want, is a lockbox ship. Unofficially speaking, it's a T6 class like other lockbox ships. Unless they want to increase one grade in ship, having such ship available to buy with zen is a non-starter right now, and unlikely to be allowed.

I think at best, they will change the Kar'fi's spec so that it have less shield, more hull point (making it similar to a cruiser) and a eng boff/console oriented, but that will be about it.
