Hello all. So, i am returning to game again, after summer, so i just have a couple of questions. When i last played i planned to play offensive engineer. So for that i plan on buying fleet assault cruiser, with emergency power to battery build ( shorter cooldown and that ). So if u can help with weapon type, consoles and similar stuff i would be very gratefull.... thnx in front

Pick your favourite colour, use the weapons that are closest to that colour.
Also get the Kinetic Cutting Beam.

Eng
2 Neutronium Armour Consoles, eventually upgrade to Mine +turn versions, Nukara Particle Converter, Assimilated Module.
Sci
2 Emitter Arrays, eventually upgrade to embassy +threat versions.
Tac
3 Consoles to match your beams.

It's Auxillery Power to Battery, Emergency Power to Subsystem is different.

The Nukara Deflector, Engines & Shield is the best tanking set going. It will be a massive pain to actually get but. Go with either the MACO (No Torps, No Leech) or Adapted MACO (Torpedoes and/or Leech). Even the Borg wouldn't be that bad. If you like purple use the Jem'hadar set it's free.

If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.

If teal is your favorite colour, plasma energy weapons will benefit from the Romulan reputation console (together with the Romulan experimental beam array to get the 2-piece bonus). Also they will benefit from embassy scientific consoles more than other types of weapons.
I like the 2-piece bonus of the Borg set (deflector+engine) and a shield from another set (MACO if you don't use plasmonic leech, or Nukara, for example). Everything in the game can be tanked with 2 pieces of the Mk XI Borg, don't waste your dilithium on Mk XII Borg items and don't collect Nukara marks for a full Nukara set (too painful... you might loose any interest in the game before getting them). A Mk XII MACO or Nukara shield, on the other hand, is worth some effort.
I'm not sure that I share DKnight's opinion about Emitter Array consoles, but I'm quite sure it doesn't matter much, provided you don't pick consoles at random.

Emitter Arrays help shield heals, he's a Cruiser.

I don't see other consoles helping out as much. I suppose Flow Caps for Tetryon or Polaron.

But ultimately any Embassy + threat Sci console.

My Fleet assault cruiser build: http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skil...=lizette1_4343

Any energy type works really but for max DPS change polarons to plasma and 1 of those to the experimental. I had already purchased the polaron consoles and 4 of the fleet weapons so didnt want to spend more than I had to for PvE.

i thought plasma is not good choice becouse some shield have damage reduction on plasma weapons.. but yeah with embassy consoles and romulan parts plasma can be quite powerful..

Depends on what you want to play I guess. For PVE anything goes, you can use common gear and succeed. For PVP, hell I think the consensus has moved on from the MACO shields being the Bestest Ever and now elite fleet shields are Teh Awesomeballs, covered in Awesomesauce.

So this is how i think about my build...

4 weapon consoles ( plus plasma damage )
2 shield emitter consoles ( fleet embassy ones, plus threat and plus plasma damage )
zero point conduit and 3 neutronium alloys ( fleet dilithium mine + turn versions.. i think that can really help stay with all 8 beams on target at all times )
For weapons i was thinking about 6 romulan plasmas, 1 experimental and 1 cutting beam
For warp core i was thinking that S>W, increase shield power to 130.
And my ship will be very soon fleet assault cruiser...

Problem is i dont know what space set to use...Some say maco, some assimilated borg... so what deflector, engine and shield should i use for my beam boat..

Space set go with any engine and deflector and use the fleet elite resiliant resb shield. In PvE it has the resistance for the majority of enemies you will face plus it builds a resiliance to all. I use the assimilated deflector and engine and have no issues with them.

You will want to add the assimilated console and the plasmonic leech to your consoles as well. without the leech weapon drain will always be an issue and it adds power to all systems not just 1. You only really need 1 shield emitter console.

2 fleet nuetroniums with turn will enable you to keep all beams on target except for the really fast escorts but they wont matter because they will melt like butter.

The list of console you stated would be more of a tank ship and less assault. You wont be maximizing DPS.

But if you do decide against using the plasmonic leech then get the maco set because the maco shield boosts power levels and conflicts with the leech. At the least I would use the assimilated console inplace of the second emitter or the third nuetronium because you get a 2 piece set with the kinetic cutting beam with it.
