I can't ever connect to the login server and when I do I get kicked during ANY map switch.
I kept getting that but not so much now. I think it was due to too many players for the server but meh all I care's is it seems to be being fixed. I still got kicked when I went to my bridge as a Klingon. The same time my account didn't show any activated products. Both things only occurred for a brief time though.
I just wanted to get a feel for the game. I never wanted to beta test much past the first several levels. I still want a good portion of the game to be new and fresh when retail goes live. I am not one to make new chars and redo the content over and over again. I usually do maybe 2 chars 100% (max level) and that is only if I really like the game.
Which at this point in time, I don't know. STO is getting better, but it still needs quite a bit of polish.
if the loader fails the patcher fails for STO and Champions after a same day problem more First Team experts should hear a proper break down report and have a flow chart and back up plan.. to take pressure off the jr staff and save a weekend trip to the office.. back up server should have been in place before Champions launched for these events so you could reconcile the data base later between the two sets of files .. This usually helps against major roll backs of mmo xp gained and limits the pain .. You cant do this with a bank or commodities exchange cause of the liability and dollar amounts. But from MMOs its ok
One way to facilitate this is via your Test Server system. IF a long term crisis occurs the load is transferred to the Test Server the TEST cycle is paused and experimental DEV IPs get backed up and halted until the money making ones produce. This is one Course to chart other options exist beyond limited Queueing and rationed service as a back up in the case of a private firm is not expected to equal the primary banks.. of say run a major oversea military command network.. GL..
The existing state of the game issues go beyond anything Closed Beta testing or open beta stress cover its a QA staffing issue with a Veto on IPs not ready to ship like a Stress litmus test.. 7 of 10 qualifiers should be satisfied before open beta with the last 3 involving

Well cool news, although at this point I'm trying not to burn myself out before head start on Friday. I should stock up on rest while I can. This will give me a bit of extra time to play around with my escort though, trying to decide if I should stick to it come release or not.
As many others, I have stopped playing the beta as well. I don't want to spoil everything for my "real" playthrough once we go live. Also I'm getting ready for my hibernation, I don't think I'll be going outside for a while. Been saying good bye to all my loved ones...
