From the recent interviews it seems we'll be getting a new ship shortly before Season 8 goes live later this year. I suspect that whatever ship we get then will be the new shipyard display ship for show-off purposes.

Have they mentioned which faction will be getting another ship? I know if they haven't it is usually a safe bet we'll get a new ship outside the ESD window (or in a Lock Box), but I'm rather bored with the Kamarang at the Qo'nos Shipyard... and that Bortasqu' has been up top for ages, lol.

As far as the Flotilla, though, I really haven't spent enough time there to notice what is out the windows. Transwarp takes you to New Romulus and the Command Center for most of your career, after all.

Probably Romulans, since they have the smallest repertoire of ships, and they lack a good healer ship. Not to mention maneuverable science ships.

The Flotilla? An assortment of ships outside the window, and the window itself is supposed to be on the side of a Ha'apax warbird.

what would be cool, (but a programming nightmare) would be YOUR equipped ship in the window.
To be honest that wouldn't be much of a nightmare as all the required information already exists.

What would be more interesting is the ability to buzz around the spacedock interior in a shuttle - some nice, close-up flybys of the various docked ships.

In my dreams I guess...

As for your ship being in the window, technically speaking it shouldn't be too difficult. They already have the tech to do that (open up your ship equipment panel, and there you go). It's whether they have the interest or not.
I agree with that. Rotate the ship on display every week.

That's all down to personal taste. I love the Vesta, both for it's looks and it's performance.

But as the old adage says, each to their own.

Probably not - it wouldn't be of any great benefit to them.

I did that in the mission Past Imperfect. You have to help Spock who is flying the Enterprise. After the fight I put my ship alongside her. I don't know, I have the idea that scale in this game is completely out of the box.
They must have expanded the doors between the movies and TNG. The Ambassador class is too big for those old doors but we do see the Enterprise D going thru those doors in a few episodes.

Some ships are larger than canon scale in order to make them more visible in game such as the Defiant, Bug and shuttles.

Others are scaled down to make them appear more like their class. Escorts in particular. Prometheus and Akira classes in game are escorts but in canon are cruisers and actually larger.

Actually we have only seen the Enterprise-D go through the doors of other starbases, but not ESD.
For example in "11001001" the Enteprise docks at Starbase 74.
While they reused part of footage from Star Trek 3, it's not ESD that's being shown.
