# 1 possible education content?

so i was just reading about this little planet core asteroid thing floating around between mars and jupiter, called psyche. and it is pretty much a big ball of various metals wrapped in metal ores & gold ribbons mixed with shiney things.

and thought, at some point, could sto support expanded systems similarly to how the foundry deals with warp transitions sometimes? so that players could explore and read about stuff in the solar system or even other science related stuff in sto?

even if it where simplified to how the sector map displays objects or something.

psyche itself could also be a federation resource site serving the sol shipyards.
Figure out and address the players path of least resistance to reward. this one thing is THE consistent factor undermining all your efforts. be that crafting, raids or starbase projects.

While that's a cool "would be nice" feature, considering how many systems there are in STO I don't think it would be practical to add.

But more importantly, why are those featured-episode preset ship missions used as torture instead of as education? Rather showing new players how to properly configure a ship, they are exercises in torture as you're forced to fly ships so horribly rigged that they'd hardly be seen even on the south side of a bad PUG.

These could be teachable moments that are squandered by teaching players to put two cannon skills and no cannons on a ship.
