We have all heard that there will be PvP in this game but my question is this: will players have a choice as to whether or not they want to join in PvP or will such be an unavoidable option. If Star Trek Online does decide to be on one large server will players be able to flag PvP on and off like in World of ******** or will such be that at any moment in time another player can just simply run up and ambush someone else cause nothing is more annoying than being punked by another player when your tying to enjoy a game.
PVP is voluntary.
Its been answered by Jack i think both in the unveiling of the gameplay video and at mmorpg.
Aye, in an interview it was said there are dedicated areas for the PvP aspect and those who want to have an effect on the galaxy yet not the PvP portion can take part in what they have said to be 'Competitive PvE' content.
There is a precedent to captains painting their own ships. Who can forget the famous Nelson chequer of black hull and white gunports (Try Goggling HMS Victory) ... I think it may come down to being self policed I cant see many Klingons tolerating a pink bird of prey.
I do have a few other questions, like will we have to crawl along Jefferies tubes sonic screwdriver in hand and do our own repairs... I mean tricorder of course
And the real big question... the one everyone wants to ask but no one has the courage...
With the recent Lifetime Membership contest over. Me and my friends here were wondering, for those of us who didn't win, will Cryptic be offering a Paid Lifetime Membership before or after game launch? And if so, is there a price set for it yet or a roundabout figure?
what will happen if ur character and crew get assimilated or if ur whole ship gets destroyed
I would think you would (If kept realistic) you would start a new character. However if anything like that does happen and to avoid people being angry at losing say.. a Galaxy class, you may start a new character with a slightly lower ship? Or some form of Jem'Hadar cloning facility.
