For those of you interested in what a fully Tac buffed wave cannon barrage can do.

Your Crescent Wave Cannon Barrage deals 275264 (121904) Disruptor Damage(Critical) to I.S.S. Stadi.

Of course this was a critical and PVE so YMMV

My Romulan character has not even reached 3rd tier in all of the rep grinds and the equipment on the ship is not the absolute best quality. I do however have the 3 piece Lobi set that synergizes with the Elachi ships.

Enjoy

After fighting it last night, I'm convinced it is a one trick pony, and it's tricky to get it to work just right.

After the initial newness wears off, I don't expect to see it much. It reminds me of when the fed dreadnought lance was first released. It was the most awesome ever, for about a week, and only in the minds of the delusioned who believed the perfect CritH & CritS storm was their daily destiny.

The reality is, that thing misses a lot, and is only good against low hanging fruit.

I agree - After using it numerous times I can see that you would have to be extremely lucky to get this thing to hit consistently in PVP. It would take a dedicated lockdown from another player while you fired. Even then you would need to time it just right. I will say that if the target is within the arc of the weapon when it goes off it does not miss (at least so far for me after about 30+ firings). I did use it in Kerrat yesterday on a lumbering Klingon Battleship for a lucky one shot.

Though don't use my S?golth in PvP, in reference to the cannon, I don't find it to be terrible accurate either.

Question. Does it have a firing delay? I stumbled into a decent shot by my opponent last night and took a 20K hull hit, but otherwise it either doesn't hit very hard or doesn't seem to be easy to get a shot off.

I was playing an Engineer in a Vesta, nothing special, but it seemed to be weaker than I expected. A few different players were flying their supped up Elachi ships, but my overall impression was they were giving up too much for dreams of a one hit.

I was unimpressed by the battlecruiser builds that were using Elachi kit. Seems to me that ship is best used in builds different than what I encountered, none of which had anything in common with a KDF battlecruiser, which in theory is how I would approach that ship.

Absolutely it has a delay. In much the same way as the Thalaron pulse shot is delayed but it is shorter (about 7 secs). Maybe you guys are confusing this with the Heavy single cannon that is part of the 3 piece set because in my experience the Heavy Cannon barrage that comes on the escort (not part of the 3 piece Lobi set) does not miss unless there is no target inside the firing arc. The complication here is that once you start the firing sequence you are pretty much stationary and can activate zero abilities. The weapon hits all the way out to 10km and does not appear to diminish in effectiveness at that range. It will fire at up to 5 targets within the arc but with every additional target the damage per target gets smaller. So the most damaging shot occur when there is only one target within the firing arc. So for instance if you are targeting a carrier with a fighter swarm just forget it because 5 of his pets are toast and you will likely do zero damage to the carrier itself. It also procs a short disable on the target when it hits.
