In one of the latest interviews mr.Stahl said that the STO team is hard at work to revamp the Federation tutorial and to create new, more apropriate interiors for the Starfleet ships.

I think that making new interiors that would be on pair to the one we can see for the Romulans is awesome, but I have one polite request for the Art Team:

- Dear Art Team, I'm sure you already have considered/are considering this, but if and when you create these new Federation starship interiors, please make sure you use the soft and warm colours seen on all Starfleet ships throughout the show.
Starfleet has a philosophy behind this design - the interiors of the ships are suposed to make the crew feel more like home and relaxed, it also helps with anxiety of long periods in deep space. Heck, even the Defiant that is a warship and not meant for such long periods of deep space exploration still had this type of interior.

So please, make the traditional colour variant possible to choose at very least, I would hate it if we're stuck with awesome new interiors that look cold and metalic like some of the current bridge options. Luckily even now, we have availible these 'soft' colours for our current bridges as a choice.
Please make sure that we get the same deal with the new interiors.

Thank you, that is all.

I wonder if it'll be something like the Enterprise-D's/Voyager's interior; as there was talk at one point of doing those ship interiors in bundle packs.

Oh how I would love that! I think many more people were asking and expecting these constanlty when the 'Ask Cryptic' was availible.
I would love to have the TNG interiors of the Enterprise-D and the Voyager ones - like the Belfast for the Defiant that is availible now. I don't have that one cause I don't fly escorts, but I'd buy the TNG & Voyager ones in a heartbeat.

This is something for the devs. to think about, plenty of TNG fans here and from what I saw in the latest poll - plenty of Voyager fans as well. I think those packs would sell pretty good.

Anyway, I wanted to turn the Art Team's attention towards these original color setups of Starfleet ship interiors seen throughout the shows because they're working on new Fed. interiors from what we heard and I'd really like those to be accurate.

Just had an idea and wanted to lay it out:

During the creation of these new Starfleet ship interiors, is it possible for multiple color schemes to be allowed. I'd have 3 of them for example:

- The standard Starfleet ship interior with softer, warm colours I talked about before.
- The blue-ish, metallic looking interior resembling to what we have now as ship corridors and the optional color scheme of some of the existing bridges.
- An Odyssey-type ship interior. I heard a lot of people talking about this - the Odyssey bridge is portrayed to be the pinacle of Starfleet technology, with the holographic displays and panels. The thing is, their color scheme is yellow-ish, perhaps an evoultion in LCARS design, but every other room on the ship, including the captain's quarters has the standard old color scheme. Feels weird that just the bridge is sticking out like that.

Now I know that designing interiors is long and hard work, I was just wondering how much time/effort it is to make 3 color shcemes like these availible in the new Starfleet ship interiors. Perhaps we can get a dev. here to clarify?

I know that the Romulans have only 1 type of ship interior and it's great, I love it and spend much time on my warbird. I'm just hoping that Starfleet ships would not be stuck with some metallic/cold looking interiors as only choice.

Hmm, I've honestly never thought of the Voyager or Defiant interiors as either "soft" or "warm." I guess they're less metallic than what we often see in-game, but still relatively cool IMO.

Hopefully they make the rooms (science lab, astrometrics, shuttlebay) more fancy then the shows were allowed to make them. Scale them according to which size interior we chose while your at it, please.

I'll believe it when I see it, they've been talking about rebuilding the interiors for YEARS now. That said, I'll be delighted to see it if it's true. The romulan ship interior is really nice (though the engineering room is a bit over the top, if you ask me).

One thing I would like to see at least is interiors like the shows for ships that were ON the shows. For instance, the TOS Warbird should have the TOS Warbird bridge, simple as it was.

I do have some faith in Taco. All I'll say is to MIND THE SCALE. For some reason it seems to be really difficult to make objects fit the rooms. My Captain's quarters are bigger than 10 Forward, and the chairs could seat 4 people. Realistic sizing, if you please, if nothing else.
Once, I was simply called Mojo. Now, I'm forced into a new name, but don't be fooled, I'm the original STO Mojo!

Yes, I would like to see TNG/Movie Interiors (Ent-A and D used the same sets, as did some of those on the Refit "Orignial"). I would also like very much to see the Voyager interors. I want to retain the interiors that are there, so please don't take them away even if people don't really care for them.

To add, I would like to be able to "mix and match" parts. I would like to be able to use the TNG corridors, Voyager Engineering, TNG Sickbay, and Voyager Science Lab.

If this is implemented we should have the following options:

Defiant, Voyager, Enterprise-D, TOS, and Standard corridors
Defiant, Voyager, Enterprise-D, TOS, and Standard Engineerings
5 (above) sickbays
5 mess halls/Ten Forward lounge
4 science labs

It would also be nice to have a shuttlebay as well. Enterprise-D, Voyager, TOS, and the Standard versions.

Have they? As far as I know, we've been talking about rebuilding the interiors nearly constantly (forum users in general, I mean), and the devs have been pretty consistent in saying, quite accurately, that there are no plans to do so.

I'll sign that in an instant.
