Greetings All,

Do any of you guys ever have the problem of having a ton of common duty officers and other materials that can be used in various fleet projects but those projects are not currently available or what you have is just not needed at the moment?

What I would like to suggest is to have Cryptic add to the current fleet system is an officer pool holdings that fleet members would be able to contribute all of their common doffs to at any given time for fleet credits and for similar holdings to be created for any and all materials that can be used in fleet projects and even dilithium.

With the above suggestions in mind when a new fleet project is chosen the system could automatically pull the required resources from the proper holdings or the project chooser could pull the resources manually somehow.

I know that what I'm asking for does not do much to help smaller fleets buts perhaps these new resource holdings could be linked to some kind of fleet alliance system where the fleet with the holdings could set a percentage of their stored resources that can be used by each allied fleet on a fleet by fleet basis.

Example:

Fleet A is a very large fleet with an abundance of stored resources that is allied with fleets B and C that they wish to share those resources with.

Fleet B is a mid sized fleet that not really doing to bad on its fleet projects but fleet C is in dire need of help with it's projects.

Fleet A stets it's resource sharing so that 50% of their stored resources is held only for their fleets usage and 35% be made available to fleet C and the remaining 15% is open to fleet B.

I started off on one thought here and kind of ended up with something very different but I think you guys understand what I'm getting at.

Thanks for your time!

Cryptic's interest in bank slot sales aside, I've always found it a bit ridiculous that, with 7 ships sitting idle in a shipyard, that I didn't have access to their cargo bays for storage.

Using them as holding places for Boffs and Doffs would seem reasonable as well.

In fact the Space Bridge Stations and Powers Tray should be a function of the ship, not the character. In this manner a player could have fully equipped ships at the ready and change ships, without a lot of tedious tweeking of BO Stations and Tray Powers.

I'm in a (I would guess) small-medium fleet. We've got a project now that requires 600 boffs.
That's pretty easy to get from the support colonial missions.

What's frustrating is when I get purples, grind them down, and end up with 30 Science or medical officers- that I can't use- when I need tactical and security.

I would love for there to be a fleet doff bank. Since there isn't I use a couple of alts that I started for no other reason than the doff system.

When they nerfed the Mail so we couldn't store DOFFs, I pleaded with Cryptic to make somekind of DOFF Storage. Because you don't always have the DOFFs you need available, and it significantly slows down Fleet Projects, or you end up with a surplus and having to destroy them.

This is why most people got tired of waiting and just went ahead and created Alt Accounts just to use as DOFF Storage. Which is funny since Alt Accounts take up significantly more dataspace than mail storage.

It doesn't. But prevents using 2 or more clients at the same time

I don't multibox, and I would assume a great number of STO'ers don't either, so that limitation does not affect me in the slightest.

How else does Arc screw us all though? Genuinely curious as I have only seen people snarl about it.

Not to hijack, because I support the OP's idea, but THIS THIS THIS. Perfect suggestion, needed, simple, would make a huge difference, and is even monetizable.

It's just another platform that wastes disk-space, bandwidth and memory for the sake of trying to advertise other PWE games. I can't see any reason for anyone to like it. It's basically a pop-up add that you can't opt out of.

Technically it doesn't stop multiboxing. It might stop multiclienting, although I hear mixed opinions on that.
